I know there have been several discussions about (barn finds). And, I know there are many folks who have a distaste for this word. My question to those that are willing to inpart with their opinions, without a lot of off topic comment, just what is your definition of "barn find" ? Does it have to be found in a barn ? Does it have to be covered in an inch of dust ? Could it be a running, driving car or truck without a lot of work ?

I'm afraid the way this past year has been, one wouldn't want to go into the future on purpose. LOL

I hadn't really thought about it the way this thread started. Sometimes when I drive my Model A, I will hear someone say (look it's the Waltons' car). I just think it's kinda funny.

Not trying to get into an argument with anyone, aside from who he is or what he does for a living, he won the prize that was supposedly offered. LOL. You should know the feeling at an all Corvette show. I did however, win a 3rd place at an all Corvette show. 1st place to a 59 that was completely totaled, then restored to new, 2nd to a brand new 2018 with 4 miles on it. Then mine. There were more than 120 cars there tho.

That funny, you said he bought them for just under sticker. The 2020 Corvette was released with a 60,000.00 price tag from Chevrolet (depending on options of course).

I'm really surprised the Chevrolet Vega made this list. I had a 1971 Vega wagon that was the furthest from the worst car. Of course, this was in 1977 and I had just got thru putting a 300 HP 327 with a 350 turbo. This was still several years from being a normal thing with Vegas. Anyway it was arrest me red with the biggest doghouse scoop on the hood. I couldn't even see if there was anything in the right lane around my front passenger side fender. Got pulled several times ( I believe so the local cops could see if it was for real). Never got any tickets with this car tho. Messed up putting a shift kit in the trans as it would bark every time it shifted. Dang thing would fly. Sold it and recovered all my money plus !

I read a few months back where a company in Japan was building an almost exact replica of the 1953 Corvette. These were slated to be sold beginning 2021. The car did look very much like the '53. However with only 300 being made in '53, do you think the replicas will have any bearing on the value of the originals ?

I would be willing to bet if his lawyers informed the state of Georgia that they would settle for $500,000.00 for a breech of contract, the state of Georgia would find a Corvette quickly. Uh, that's 1/2 million on top of the $250,000.00 already promised.

I know a lot of folks on here don't like using Pay pal and I'm sure they have their reasons. I have used Pay pal for many years using sometime very large sums of money. I only had one experience where I didn't receive my money . I logged on and the money was immediately covered by Pay pal. I can only say good things about their services. I'm sure some aren't so lucky. Good luck however you choose to go.
