My mother born in Aug 1929 croaked in 2018 after burying 2 husbands and lived after that ,on junk food ,cookies,ice cream and pizza,vodka tonics after 11am and a pack and half a day smokes since 1939.
No medications till the end. She lost it (brain wise)and was mean her last 2 weeks...
Not a bad run.
I do not favor fast food junk .
Ground up animal eye balls,guts and chicken feet and fat for a meal turns me off for some weired reason..?

My original chrysler info states 35lbs for open cars and 40 lbs closed with 18 inch rims.
No less no more will do you fine.

Home brews were caustic soda done with care and Cascade dish washer stuff for a light clean
A pro radiator clean(your best) and a store bought flush prep or even vinegar for the bock gets most by for years and years.
Many older cars wit greasable water pumps get greased wit the wrong lube and it shows up like dirty plaque in your arteries or radiator tubes and heat transfer in much impeaded
Tain't easy to clean at home .

The dope that I am...so far there is no resectable rebuilder of hydraulic brake parts that advocate anything other then dot 3 or 4 fluid ,maybe the new DOT 5.1, but never .silicone based no.5.
There is a reason.
Many have said they have had no problem with DOT 5 ,and the plus being it dosn't ruin the paint.
Still the qualified rebuilder will not warrentee your stuff if you use it!
What does that tell you?
Most differences in brake fuild is it's heat and boiling tollerance.
.Unless your doing hard core racing..Basic DOT fluid is the standard.

I have.some Autocar truck paper work stuff from a service center in Connecticut in the.mid 1940's .
Before I burn it or trash it? Anybody want it,for the cost of shipping.? Like a legal size cardboard box full.

I think I have some E.M.F paper work stored that may bridge to Flanders Motor Co. that may or may or not be usefull?

I only recall Hazel buying a Model A roadster.and then or before a Model T touring car,everthing else were just plain Jane every day cars..to me.

For my 1927 Chryslurp "70" from hell,I I plan to buy sedan/closed car windwing brackets offered by various Model A Ford parts supplier, Screw them to the outer door frame or reveal molding ,have glass cut to fit and use,wind wing mirrors( clamps to the outer windwing glass edge )or stick on mirrors right on to the wing glass..
A 1927 Chrylser 70 Brougham is nothing but blind spots.

Not to many under 15 years but a few..
A beautifull young couple and thier 4/5 year old daughter were checking things out. I chatted them up and the little girl,
" what do you think about these old cars?" ,
"I think they are wonderfull and big and I want one" said the little girl..
"Then you will have one someday"
I said..
"Which ones do you like best?" I asked.
She said" the ones with gold pieces".

Even though Dragoones is a high end business and this event brings awareness and Avertizing( note z and not S for anal spell checkers) to them,It is a appreciated event.
I love young Alex, (maybe 31 or 32? ) ,a bizness man who actually loves and knows.about vintage cars (catch that Z) to offer and host this event.
He will talk and bitch about a model.A ford pheaton or a freaken POPE HARTFORD (made in Hartford Ct.) or an Trumble from Bridgeport just the same
Dragone's will treat you as an
equal, whether a Model T or Stutz. BearCat or a Barris TV show car.from the 60's or 70's if you need to sell.or auction...

Paint Question, Original or Not.

Original period paint laqueer or enamels (enamels of the mid 30's and onward ) are usually very very thin and wear through before any crazing. Only in some corners of heavy application is crazing of original paint seen.
Repaints at anytime is more then the factory applied gunk,and is usually subject to noticable crazing .
The more high priced the car,the chances of it having have been repaited are greater.
