w30 driver

Factory wheels and tires off a 71 w30 olds 442 available. 14x6 w 225/70/14 cooper cobras GT very good cond. Painted dark gray with all beauty rings and inserts, center caps. Message me if interested.

Just noticed my cowl# does not match vin#. Cowl # starts with 344 but #'s after that are different than vin. Title matches vin# on dash, paint code on cowl is 26 26 . Anywhere else on car I can find vin#. Thanks.

Checked today, has G heads. Also noticed a breather on both valve covers but no pcv valve any where on motor. Was told 71 w30 had a pcv valve in the intake manifold with a breather on each valve cover. PCV valve only on aluminum w30 intake. My motor has cast iron intake. Somebody put a 195 themo. in it. 160 installed, no more running hot.

Did take it for a 20 mile freeway cruise today. Seem to run a little over half way on temp. gauge on freeway, but a little below in stop and go traffic. Will get a 160 themo. this week and see if that helps. Nice quite ride and vibration free, but rides to much like a Cadillac for me. Has KYB shocks all around. Thanks for any more input.

Have the car kept in storage, looked at numbers when bought the car 2 weeks ago. Try to look again some time. Thanks.

Yeah, I heard you could get blank tags, but this one has a lot patina and very weathered. Going to check # on carb and dist. Blk. is date coded as a 71, just not vin# matching.

Was built in Lansing, has a M in the vin#. Was told an automatic w30 had a tag on right side of trans. with a OW stamped on it, which it has. Also has last 6 of vin # on driver side of trans. Has OAI hood and breather. 10 bolt rearend with sway bar. Pictures to come, waiting on Grundy to approve insurance. Thanks for your response. Pics. soon to follow.

,Just bought 71 442 last week, claims to be w30 car. Not original motor but trans. has last 6 of vin# . Everything else looks correct. Rally dash, ram air hood, viking blue paint, red wheel wells, boxed rear control arms, built in Michigan. Any input would be great. Thanks.
