  1. I have a 1941 Buick Special for sale. It has the 248 straight 8 with compound carburetors. The entire wire harness has been replaced with an original style one. The fuel tank and line have been replaced. Rebuilt transmission installed with new clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing.Rebuilt by Bobs Automobilia. The original will come with the car. All tires are new (bias) including the spare. Both carburetors have been rebuilt. New points ,condenser ,rotor, cap, plugs, and plug wires. The interior has the original front and back seats with vinyl covers. They are in good shape with no tears. The brakes have been serviced with many new parts. New parking brake cables installed. The car runs good but needs some fine tuning. Brakes work good. I have a complete exhaust system (still in box) that goes with the car. Lots of spare parts for the car also. The price is 7500.00 . I can be contacted on this forum or call 315-343-1101 or text 315-532-3140
  2. It wasn’t an opinion,it was a wise remark. That being said, I don’t have any issues with the guy I don’t even know him. So let’s just leave it at that. 1941 Buick Special for sale. Thanks
  3. I bought the car about 5 years ago with the grill and bumpers already blacked out. I personally like the look. I thought I would post it here on this Buick club site because other people would appreciate it, and for the most part they do. I am surprised to see a wise ass comment (Morgan) posted. I guess theres one in every crowd.
  4. Yes, now would be a good time to buy it and have a good winter project.
  5. I am hoping to keep all the parts together with the car. Thanks for your reply

  8. I am located in Oswego NY about 45 minutes north of Syracuse. The interior has the original seats front and back with vinyl covers. The covers are in very good condition with no tears. I attempted to post an interior pic but this forum only allowed three because of the file size. The interior does need attention but the car is not a show car. The under side of it is in remarkable condition with the original floor pans with the exception of a patch in the trunk pan.

  10. EmTee where are you located in NY ? I see you have center of NYS listed. I’m just curious because I live in Oswego NY
  11. That may be why there are different part numbers for the front and rear bolts
  12. Thanks Matt , I was just curious as to whether anyone has ever done it. But on a similar issue are the front and back lug bolts different lengths? I’ve seen them advertised in sets for the front and back with different part numbers for them.
  13. Has anyone replaced the lug bolts on their 41 Buick with studs and lug nuts? If so could you please let me know how you went about doing it.
  14. It only has one steel vacuum line from distributor to primary carb. It’s in good condition and not leaking. The throttle linkage is in good condition also with no apparent wear that would cause binding. I have not looked at the weighted butterfly on the secondary carb. I will check that out tomorrow to see if it is the problem. I really appreciate the thoughts you guys have given. Thanks
  15. I have a 41 Buick Special with the compound carburetor 248 engine. I’ve been having trouble with the engine racing at very high rpm after it has been running for a few minutes. It runs great on initial start up but after a few minutes it races. After shutting it off and letting it sit for a few minutes it starts and idles fine again but only for a few minutes and then it starts racing again. Any ideas on what I should look for.
  16. I would like to thank Doug Seybold for his help on a transmission issue I was having. I gave him a call today for some advice and he was very helpful. He knows his stuff and was very friendly. Thanks Doug it’s people like you that make being a car guy a pleasure.
  17. I’ve already purchased a few tranny parts from them, thanks for the reply though.
  18. I would still like it if Auburnseeker would check on the 40 transmission it has the same gears as 41 and could still be of use to me.
  19. I want to thank you guys for your time and suggestions. I will check with Dave Tacheny on Monday.
  20. I really appreciate it. I am hoping it is the right one. I will be in Inlet on Sept 26 & 27 so it would work out well if it’s the right one. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.
