The car was campaigned in lessor events into the 1960's when parked before being found and restored by Tom DeSalvo in Dallas, TX. He restored it and campaigned it in vintage events in the early 200's until I purchased in 2014. 11. 1907-1912 Speedster Body. The years of the body is based on what I was told the car came off of when I purchased in Hershey in 2021. It was supposedly attached to a 1907 Thomas Chassis. I do not know if that is accurate or not as I was never able to verify it. This body is complete except for the bucket seats that go on top the body. The body comes with a windshield, hood, 4 fenders, 2 splash aprons, and various brass trim pieces. I bought the body to make a speedster using a Stoddard Dayton Chassis, but unfortunately the chassis was sold before I could there to buy it, so it is now time to sell the body. 13. 1955 Edwards Blume Special - For Sale - Price reduction The history of this car is as follows: Forrest Edwards decided he was going to build H Mod racecar kits in the 1950's. He built this car using a Morris Minor engine, MG rear end and brakes, and an English Ford transmission. The body is hand pounded Aluminum. It was completed in 1954 and campaigned in Pebble Beach and he promptly blew up the engine in the race. He took the car back to the LA area and refitted it with a Crosley Engine and then hired Tip Blume to drive the car. In 1955 the car was again campaigned at Pebble Beach, and it finished middle of the pack. In 1956 he again took the car back to Pebble Beach, and the car was retired because of another engine failure. There was only 1 car ever built. The car was sold, and it campaigned in many different places until the early 1960's, without much success until it disappeared in the late 1960's. In 2003, it was purchased by a collector in Dallas, TX and restored to the 1955 Configuration and campaigned as a Vintage H Mod Race car. In 2015 it was out up for sale and transported back East and made ready for the Grand Ascent in Hershey, plus was submitted and certified for participation in AACA Class 24B. Engine issues still plagued this car as during a brief VSCCA racing career between 2016 and 2019, the Crosley engine broke a crankshaft 2 times during the Grand Ascent. The engine was rebuilt one last time in 2018 and it again participated in the Grand Ascent in 2019 without issue. It is being offered for a Sports Car Collector and will be sold with all of the historical documents for the car. This car is also featured in the book: Racing Through the Pines. If you are looking for a 1950's era H Mod that can be used in VSCCA events, shown in AACA Events, this car is for you. It will fit a driver that is between 5'11" and 6'2" and up to 250 lbs. It needs nothing but a driver to take out and enjoy it. It is not street legal and will be sold with a bill of sale only. Car is located in Eastern PA. Asking Price is $29,500 OBO. Call Norm with questions. 201-264-8969. More pictures available on request
