    1941 brakes

Hi Ed, I'm new to the forum and had thought I'd posted in the pre-war Buick section. I've re-posted in the correct section now (I think!). My car is a Buick. I'll be restoring it to original with the straight eight and agree that the stock brakes work fine but I wanted the added comfort of dual circuits. Thanks, Mike
  2. Hi, I am in the early stages of restoring a Sedanette. A friend has told me about an up-grade to dual circuit brakes that utilizes a Corvette master cylinder. Has anyone done this conversion and if so, can you tell me the part number of the Corvette master cylinder? Does this conversion require vacuum assist? Thanks, Mike

    1941 brakes

I'm in the early stages of restoring a Sedanette. A friend told me that there is a fairly common up-grade to dual circuit brakes that utilizes a Corvette master cylinder. Has anyone done this conversion and if so, can you tell me the part number of the master cylinder used? Does this conversion require vacuum assist or are pedal stems long enough to provide sufficient force without it?
