  1. Good morning I am trying to find relatives of Leo "Bud" Oser or any leads on where his correspondence may ended up. He was a collector in the 1950s, 1960s, a former director of the Auburn Cord Museum, and a lifelong AACA Member. Thanks for your help
  2. First issue was out on 7 December as a paper magazine. Feedback is phenomenal Second issue is out now on Readly and will be available as a paper magazine next week. Central theme is "diminutive" with 26 articles on small-, mini- and microcars! More details are available on https://rareandunique.media
  3. Dear Members, Thanks for discussing my new magazine. Yes, it was brave/stupid/foolish/great to launch a magazine in the middle of the pandemic, but I usually follow the difficult path With the first issue we experienced shipping issues related to COVID-19 so issue no2 which will be out next week will have a small print run in the US for the local readers. Finances. We started small and expand cautiously. Feedback has been phenomenal and we already have a small number of advertisers. So far we are doing okay, subscription fees and revenue from advertisers paid for the cost of the first two issues. If subscribers keep coming and we can attract a few more advertisers, I believe we'll be doing fine. As for the content, the first issue focused on streamlining and there were two articles on American streamliners. The second issue will focus on small-, mini- and microcars. American edition will be out on 22 March, European on 26 March - the only difference is that the European is printed in Hungary, the American is printed in Pennsylvania. There will be 26 articles on the central theme, including Japanese, Chinese, Czech, Spanish, Hungarian and Italian mini- and microcars, drive story of the last Quasar Unipower built and more. I am happy to answer all your questions. You can subscriber at https://rareandunique.media

  5. My name is Dr Pál Négyesi. I am a Hungarian-born motoring historian, writer and museum professional, currently living and working in Austria. I have been writing about classic vehicles for almost 30 years now. I was an editor of a classic car magazine in Hungary back in the late 1990s. In the last 20 years I contributed to Hungarian, Austrian, German magazines and wrote my PhD on the history of motoring museums. Recently I am working on a new, English-language magazine, titled Rare & Unique Vehicles. It will be a quarterly English-language magazine featuring unique content on 96-pages. Each issue will focus on a central theme, followed by a few anniversary-related features and Spin the Globe. Spin the Globe is a unique column, featuring rare, unusual and interesting cars, motorcycles, trucks and buses from around the world. The central theme for the first issue is streamlining with features on Paul Járay, the Stout Scarab, Wikov "35 Kapka" and more. Additionally, we’ll look at the Victoria K1 – the first BMW-engined motorcycle from 1920, 50-years of Bond Bug. The Spin the Globe section will feature a Trabant-based buggy from Hungary, a French car from 1901 which escaped all the history books, an Australian coupe and more. Rare & Unique Vehicles will be strictly subscription-based. We need to collect 400 subscribers to receive the green light. Even if you order one issue- you raise the tally! Please visit rareandunique.media, check out some of our preview articles and pre-subscribe!
