I don't think so. #738 was built early May ‘53 and mine is #1509. I assume that means it was the 1,509 th body of the skylark style produced out of 1,690 units produced. The serial number is 1 for flint followed by 7133317 which is well toward the end of the sequence range for Flint (6740001 to 7214106). Assuming there were 474,105 units produced and it was an average of 39,508 units per month then my car would fall 2 months before the last month of production within the allowed sequence. Im guessing the model was last produced in september of ‘53.

My 53 skylark is body number 1509 built in flint. The serial number is 17133371 is there a source to reference the build date? Or can someone tell me more or less when it came off production line? I am guessing late July or mid august 1953
