Hi. Contrarian is good. probably can't tell by the pics but it's just too heavy and bulky for a cane topper. Though that doesn't mean it wasn't something not directly attached to the auto. ( that needed threads though).

Thanks for the posts. Might not help but I can add a little more info...The item is 2 lbs 1.8 oz. and about 2 3/4" long and at the "DB" end the diameter is 2 3/8" the inside diameter of the threaded end is just under 2 inches. Obviously there are no flat sides for a wrench to fit. Thanks.

I bought a bunch of tools off a guy with misc car parts in the lot including this..... I've come across old alum. Dodge Bros. grease caps before but don't know what this is...thick brass, threaded cap of some kind. Thanks.
