  1. Thanks for your repply, we were thinking that it was a 1917 or 1918 due to the bumper at the front and different radiator from the K16 you sent in picture. You're aboslutely right ! Antique patina is very nice but as we are specialized in WW1 history, we have to restore this GMC in the same condition that it was during WW1. That's why we are searching information before changing anything on this car. Perhaps the plate at the back was in place in WW1, we don't know... For example, the Dodge at the left of the first picture will stay in that condition, we 'll not change anything on it ! (sorry for my language, I'm french ! )
  2. Dear All, We are a french association specialized in WW1 history and start to restore some WW1 truck and cars. We have one nash quad and one DodgeBrother car in our museum. We recently acquired an old GMC car. This GMC car show some A.E.F. painting under the two other layer of paint. This car have been used after WW1 by a french company like many of WW1 US car that were sold in France. We are thinking that the cabin of this car has been modified during the year and perhaps the back of the car. Naturally, wheels are not the original ones. We would like to know exactly the manufacturing date of this car ? Do you have any idea where is the chassis serial number on this GMC ? Can you confirm that this car is a GMC Model 16 ? (on the right of the picture enclosed, on the left it's our Dodge brother car) Thanks a lot for your help ! Nicolas - A.R.E.H. (Association de recherches et d'études Historiques - www.areh.site
