  1. Jumping in kind of late but yes early 1919 cars had the spark plugs on the intake (left) side and later cars had the plugs on the exhaust (right) side of the engine. If you still have your car I suggest going our Essex 4 cars facebook group where we have almost 40 members now. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1587131908281767/
  2. If you are still looking I suggest that you join the “Essex 4 Cars” Facebook group, several for some Essex 4s for sale have been posted there recently.
  3. I have a 1922 Essex Coach and I am looking for some hard to find parts. The condition doesn't need to be perfect, some I only need a - Small knob used to open the windshield out. Not the bigger one that turns, the small fixed one. - Hand throttle rod that goes from the bottom of the column to the bellcrank - Window winder mechanism for a coach or sedan. The gearbox body is broken on mine so that's the important bit - The small 1" long rod/handle on the Trico vacuum windshield wiper motor that can be used to manually move the wiper if needed [Found!] - 1922-1923 exhaust manifold. I need to heat mine up to remove a stuck part and it would be nice to know who has a spare just in case that goes south - Undamaged hubcap (no marks preferably). Not the same as the later Essex 6 I believe. Thank you! Also any contacts with fellow Essex 4 owners I haven't spoken to previously would be great too!
