  1. If you can't find a puller, and really need to pull a rear wheel here is an option if you plan on not going to Caz: Drill and tap then you can use a normal puller. Then use Dremel to cut off bolt AND cut a screwdriver slot; then paint w/wheel color.
  2. Ran for about 20 minutes in garage( have hose under door) and oil pressure showed around 26psi reved up and around 20 psi at idle. At least it is not low; I rebuilt engine but never removed rods nor oil relief valve; but did plasticgage clearance. Side note for those that run engine(s) in garage: hose in photo makes me happier. It is from a wet vacuum system that is a perfect fit for the exh. pipe.
  3. Realize the post is pre-'31 but on my '31, does this look ok? Line between cylinders goes to mech. gage. Valve oiler shutoff. I have never been concerned with it reading low.
  4. Anyone needing 4 used wheel brake cyls from a 151, advise. I elected to just buy all new and increase ft size while they were available. Didn't send master to Apple but to a co that Tom R. recommended; did a super job.
  5. While you are waiting on Walt; drool over this 153 from Club website:

    Mufflers

Tks. Paul...... KEPICH: that is where I got my tailpipe from when they were in Fla; they did have the measurements. Must not have a project in 2005. Everything I now find says that they are NO LONGER IN BUSINESS.

    Mufflers

Wrong about Florida. Found the invoice (2005) for the muffler from Auto-Jet Muffler Corp. in Clive, IA. They make custom exhaust items. Suppose you have to tell them what you want; size, etc. Cost back then was $43.fob The website is: https://www.auto-jet.com/shop?Collection=MUFFLER Can't find anything for the tailpipe I had made somewhere???

    Mufflers

Used on '31 Vic. I got the straight in and out sized for the front pipe then had to weld a reducer on the rear to accept the smaller tailpipe which comes out straight not angled to the ground like some I have seen. This was a heavy 16 pound aluminumized muffler I got shipped from Florida along with the tailpipe. They had a pattern for the tailpipe. Will post vendor later when I locate receipt.
  9. Have wire wheels, rings,& of course, brake drums. And 3 or 4 dented hubcaps. But you would have to pick up Greensboro NC. I can count and photograph if interested. Wheels are rusty. I bought but have not used them. EDIT: I DECIDED NOT TO SELL THE 1931 WHEELS SINCE THEY ARE NOT RUSTY ( hadn't seen in 10+ years to remember). WILL KEEP WITH MY WOODEN WHEEL CAR. BUT NEED SEVERAL ITEMS TO BE COMPLETE: 1 RING AND 5 HUBCAPS, 7.5", THAT AREN'T DENTED OR GOUGED; PLATING NOT NECESSARY. SEND MESSAGE IF YOU HAVE.
  10. Know nada about an 11A but checking the Club site there is a tech discussion on Oct 31, 2009 that mentions using this seal for the front bearings on an 11A: SKF Oil Seal 17191 from NAPA I will not c&p but if you are a member you can check by the date; if not, then you should be !! All you do is use search for what you are hunting for and most of the time things happen ~~~

  12. PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM SIGNING OUT AS 'RICHARD DRYMAN' AND SIGNING IN AS 'FRANKLIN31'. THAT WAS MY NAME EARLIER (AND I FORGOT THAT--HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE TOO MANY BIRTHDAYS & HAVE BEEN AWAY FROM THE FRANKLIN FOR A WHILE). SORRY !! DIFFERENT MEMBER NAME--SAME PERSON --SAME '31 VICTORIA BROUGHAM.
  13. Ace Hdwr: 1 oz>> 5.99 Walmart 4oz>> 13.72 Online prices Another comment: If you are buying #14 and #12 wire, etc to make your own loom, etc. Be aware of the aluminum wire that is copper clad; much cheaper than pure copper, but NOT good. My 2¢.
  14. Just a note that I have wire wheels I bought with my 1931 151 Vic that has and still has wooden wheels. I am not going to put the wire wheels on the car now. Wheels are rusty so they would have to be painted, not chromed; have 5 wheels, rings and the brake drums and I think 3-4 hubcaps that need restored also. Tires or flaps not installed. The drums are connected to the wheels. SO, If you get close to Greensboro NC and want to see them sometime, give me a call/email. Really don't want to get into discussion now about them & I am not going to entertain shipping now. Just remember that I have them. Of course, the club now has new drums if any of mine are bad---haven't slightest idea, haven't looked at them in 18 years. My car is shown on the Club Website under 'Pictures' and 'Franklins by Year of Mfr.': 1931 Victoria Brougham (one of few)
  15. Here is the K & N I have had on my '31 Vic for many years. All you do is get neck size; etc. EDIT: PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM SIGNING OUT AS 'RICHARD DRYMAN' AND SIGNING IN AS 'FRANKLIN31'. 16. Know this is several months late but am getting back to working on my '31 Vic. Mine had the right side light on it when I bought the car. Photo may or may not be of interest. Now if I had a red lens for the yellow one !! It is constructed as the left one.
  17. Tks Paul. I just decided to tap the script holes rather than put lock washer and nut on inside; much easier than holding a lock washer and nut with a magnet to start. Think the screw that I originally had to install this with was a 5-40 but 6-32 would fit tapped. My car is definitely not concours, but don't think anyone would tell the difference in diameter of screw heads; almost the same. In fact, that script is probably the best thing about the whole car !!lol EDIT>> PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM SIGNING OUT AS 'RICHARD DRYMAN' AND SIGNING IN AS 'FRANKLIN31'. 18. I just installed my script today. Tapped the script for 6-32 screw to secure; that based on the holes on each end that was already in my new repo script. Worked fine but do not know if this is standard.
  19. yes, 12 feet. And the straps keep the suspension from extending too far that it worried me(double elipiticals you know). Sorry, didn't get a notification of this earlier.
  20. about 1/2 way down you will see my Franklin up on a two post lift. https://goo.gl/photos/wzbSaLsr5VuFEU2NA
