  1. Hello, I am trying to locate the connection point for the engine oil pressure sending unit to the gauges in the car, anyone have any idea where it is? Thank you Jeremy H
  2. Changed the coil and condenser, still no spark off the coil ignition wire. Also regapped the point to 0.015
  3. is there a way to test the condenser to know if it is functional?
  4. I have attached a wiring diagram for the car, but basically everything you say is correct. I did set the points are you thinking they are still closed? .
  5. Still can't get this damn car to get spark at the spark plug, here is some of the latest information New condenser, ignition rotor, distributor cap, point, coil and wires - point have been set to .022 When the key is in the off position with my tester I have full continuity from the positive side of the coil to ground, with the ignition in the accessories position I get a dim light for 6V on the tester, when starting the car there is no light on the tester for the positive side of the coil. I have run a jumper from the positive side of the battery to the positive side of the coil and check for spark at the spark plug while its sitting on the block and the engine turning. It should be noted that I have not connected the other wires to the spark plugs because they just get in my way so I have only been running a single wire to the spark plug at the block. Any advice would be great as I am completely fed up with this machine.
  6. Hello, I am having a electrical power problem which is not allowing my 1937 Oldsmobile 6 to start - I basically have no spark. Here is what I have determined...I do not have any power off of the capacitor ignition wire terminal to the distributor, I have replaced the capacitor but still no power off the capacitor terminal to the distributor, I have tested the positive and negative terminals on the capacitor and they are power. The second location is the center ignition wire terminal post on the distributor, no power off this location too. Both tests were done while the engine was turning over. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... could it be the point set? Thank you
