The generator you have may just need a tune up. It mat need the commentator turned and under cut!

Something you might want to try is a couple bottles of lemon juice and fill it up with water and warm it up. I have cleaned a lot of parts in lemon juice and a old crock pot with good results. it works good on carburators.

You might want to try a different fan . You might want to rig up a plug adaptor to go in the bottom Radiator hose on the block side with a garden hose connection and push the water out from the bottom up will want to take the thermostat out while doing this. watch what comes out.

This is the best picture I have of my 1930 Chrysler dump pick up. it was a 4 door sedan and was made into a dump box pickup to be used in the depression. They cut it and saved the back and moved it to make the cab, from a distance you would think it was factory. The dump box is manual lift and dose lift.

I have one and one is coming apart . so I though I would freshen them. How are we to lubricate the universals?

Is there a replacement or a will work around to replace the old leather dust seals for the universal joints ?

You might check that the socks are working as they should check that they got the oil they are supposed to have and that they are not frozen up! the oil fill plugs are on the top and you need a screw driver to get them out and yes something is in the way of getting the plugs out easy.

I think you may want to get a split manifold or headers and run the pips out the back with chrome tips. It will give it a neat sound.

What we do here is we have a air phone that you can carry all over the house and we have the old push button desk phone, when you get one of those calls we take the two hand sets together and it will squeal lake ""H"" and they don’t stay on the line long. My vote for wide white's ! I have some on my 42 Packard Clipper and like the looks ! I did not get the hub caps with it so I have some 1975 Cadillac wire look full disk caps that make it look sharp

Nice car , should be fun next summer!! The Bedford Classic tires are they weather cracked , if not use then they probably get a can of Reu Glide and go over the tires and rubber.

I have the wheels back on my Chrysler and the new master cylinder on and bled but need to bleed it again. The way the weather is I might leave it on the blocks and when I start it I can put it in gear and pump the breaks. We are having a lot of rain this fall and the farmers can get the crops off. I want to thank all of you that helped me with this project! I need to make a new seal for the drive shaft, anyone have a easy fix for that?

I learned of the zink additive on Jay Leno''s utube last night he had a man that over builds motors for the 360 Porche. Yes I don’t spell to good but my spell check is worse than mine . what they brought out that there was zink in the oil up until they went to putting catalytic converters on the vehicles and the zink didn’t work with the catalytic converters. BTW Jay said he uses the additive in his cars.

How many are using Zink additive in your old engines? They took the Zink out of the oil when they started putting Catholic Converters on the vehicles. Im looking for a usable clutch disk and pressure plate for a 8 inch Studebaker 3 speed tranny with over drive . This is for a home made tractor .

Use the Copper coloured Barrs Leak and has sodium ciliate ( water glass )in it. Has worked good

Yes keep those spokes natural . If you go to refinish then scrape the old off with a knife . My1930 Chrysler has the same wheels and were all painted black and we scraped the wood and sanded the metal. 25 yrs later they still look good.

Dose any one have a current part number for the front axle seals for the CJ6 It LOOKS TO BE 2 7/8 X 1 7/8 ID on a tape measure. I have a National # 473453

Would you have the kit number and did the choke standpipe come with the kit? or where did you get it My carbs are brass bowl . the DRT 08 was on my car 1930 CJ6 and I picked up a RJH 08 this one looks to be a good carb it has a single top housing where the DRT has two housings

Dose any one have reproduction stand pipes made out of better material ? I have had good luck cleaning other carbs by using lemon juice and water in a crock pot , usually let it cook over night, keep an eye on it as it can start to melt the pot metal. Would this work on the stand pipe? Is it necessary to taker the stand pipe out to put a update kit in?

Both lights come with the switch with the lever all the way up. drop the leaver down to the next beam setting and nothing comes on. If I take a jumper wire off the battery and touch the switch where that beam setting is it well light both lamps on that setting ,. Hope I’m not too confusing ?
