The giant of French rubber products remains Michelin - I would start with their history, as they go back to the late 1800's. Check via the home location in Clermont-Ferrand.

I had a 56 Firedome Seville, same model as this. The interior pattern and materials look right to me. Mine was black, white, and beige where this is gray, but the pattern was the same. It was all-vinyl. The Firedome has no fender ornaments and different finish on the headlamp rims, compared to a Fireflite.
I enjoyed the car but recall two foibles. Like Chryslers of the era, there is no feel at all to the overboosted steering. "right rudder, cap'n." The gold on white instruments are a challenge to read in the sun.

"compare to (1937) Packard 115 Club Sedan"
interesting point. I'm a big Packard fan, and a major attraction at the time was its resemblance to the conservative larger Packards. That said, very few 1936 cars are as streamlined as this Hupp - great look.

leBaron. I think the only LaSalle is an ambulance when Vito comes home from the hospital

Citroen is also part of PSA. I think there will be some Jeep-Peugeot and Lancia-Citroen cross fertilization. I think the Mazda-Fiat joint project did well, but the FIAT version should have marketed as an Alfa, not a Fiat.

Calais' other interior option was vinyl, not leather. Really a car intruding on Electra/98 territory, and wasn't around that long.

Is the alternate to putting one on the shelf getting a part 3D mapped to have a CAD file for future CNC or Additive Manufacturing if needed?

The combo of continental kit, pipes, skirts, custom interior on a four door sedan is a bit odd, but as Matt said, does it turn your crank. The exterior modes are bolt-on, so no big issue as far as broader appeal. the interior is another matter - i would rate it as equal in value to a car with seat covers.

right, but in terms of trim and equipment I think there is no distinction.

Oz, not sure what you're saying. It's a 23rd series car , May 49-50. Is there any distinction between those registered as 49 vs 50?

1946 Olds, i think, because of grooved upper center of bumper

The Citroen convertible looks like a DS21 by Chapron.

Love the original interior and "baby Wildcat" styling.

Tata was one of the largest auto producers in India when they bought Jaguar and Land Rover. But they value the brands' heritage and reputation (albiet mixed for reliability)

I think the answer depends in part on whether the original was a flat surface covered by a contoured rubber mat or a contoured metal surface with a rubber skin (like 41 Packard). The suggestion to start a new thread is a good one

Nautilus/Edge/MKZ/Fusion are on the CD4 platform - main North American location is Hermasillo, Mexico. Last I heard, this platform is slated to go to China. Edge sales will likely drive the chances of any North American build.

IMHO, the main issue to the state is that you didn't pay the sales tax. If you have a receipt and the unsigned title, plus a willingness to pay the tax, a cooperative DMV person may be able to transfer title.

yet "crushing the mushroom" in France means flooring the gas

to me the color looks like Alleghany Green - used in 57, not sure for 58

consider the Deux Chevaux gearshift and the Citroen "twist the beer can" control - you may have it there

exactly. the difference was the location of the evaporator

Plasticoat is PVC plastisol, and I don't think it is formulated with a good UV and anti-oxidant package. Also, the gloss will be high but it could be carefully sanded.
I have seen a good job using polyurethane bed liner and LOTS of tedious sanding. I would not use unknown chemistry bed liner.
Glue down EPDM matting has the right finish, usually involves some seams. There was a 41 Packard one available from Steele but has been out of production a while.
Finally, Mr Acuff's work is reputed the quality standard.

BMW was the leader in overall US luxury sales by brand in 2019. The 7 series sold about 8800, plus 9500 in Europe, plus ? in China. So since almost all Continental sales were in North America, 7000 is a very low number to make money on.

one other lead - Lehmann. They are Swiss (Satigny) rather than French. Not sure how far back they go. The supply chain likely changed when domestic EPDM capacity started up at Port Jerome, but that is post WWII.
