  1. Thanks to all for info and advice.
  2. Engine, frame and cowl may end up as a unique and intertesting rod/bucket project. May as well get some fun out of it. I know this will probably upset some but "waste not, want not".
  3. Sounds like a lost cause. Sad to see things get to this state.
  4. Will check for data plate. Thinking either 56-c or 58-c. Are people after parts for these things?
  5. It is a straight 8 and is right hand drive. Serial number and engine number are correct for 1932. Is the Holden body badge on the outside or inside of the cowl? Could it be an import?
  6. Has frame, engine, radiator, cowl, dash, one wheel, and not much more!!! No gearbox, no axles, really not much at all. Might be more suited to part out. From what I have found out so far, it would be virtually impossible to source everything to complete the car.
  7. I don't own the car (yet). It is a major resto job and I am trying to figure out if it would be worth the cost and effort. All depends on how rare the convertibles are. I can't seem to find out how many were produced in Australia in '32.
  8. Hi 1939_Buick. Have been trawling for about a week now. Have seen the uniquecarsandparts info. It seems to have no build numbers for 1932. I am assuming there would not have been too many convertibles produced in Australia in '32. Where on the firewall or cowl should the firewall/cowl data plate be? Will have to double check, but think it might be missing. I guess it would be too much to expect that any Buick sales records exist in Australia. The fold-down front screen has the bottom contoured to the cowl shape. Does this help at all?
  9. Hi all. Have located a 1932 Buick convertible in Australia. Serial number is 2627722. Engine number is 2779566. Car is right hand drive so am assuming it is a Holden bodied Australian produced car. Don't know if it is a convertible coupe roadster, a convertible phaeton or a convertible sports phaeton as most of the body is missing. Only know it is a convertible by the cowl / windshield which is still there. Wheelbase indicates that it is a 50 series (114"). Is there any way to identify what it actually is by the serial / engine numbers? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
