  1. So, somewhere along the line between 1984/5 to 2019 when I inherited this car the two firewall tags have gone missing. The door jamb s/n tag is the only one remaining. How in the heck will I determine what was on the two missing tags? I have found repops but will need to stamp them prior to installation..... oh how I would love to be able to ask my dad and my grandpa “where the hell are those tags?” I have a photograph with them on in 1985 or so, and then a 1988/9 photo with them gone. Unfortunately too far away to read...
  2. I’m still not thoroughly convinced that a Chrysler Six used the chopped off plate, I have a question in the Bob Scafani about this to see if he has a set. Chrysler did “extras” above and beyond Dodge and Plymouth on the 6’s. I am however using this design until further notice! 😆
  3. Judging by your style of drawing, I figured you knew what you were doing, and that it was just a “transposed” dimension. I’m old enough to remember when there were no computers in our drafting classes....
  4. yes, I believe it’s on the longer flat and that’s how I made them, I saw that right away.
  5. yes they are the passenger side needs the bolt swapped front to rear (longer one is in back). But it’s all good!
  6. Ok kids.... here’s the face of the Chrysler CI shock bracket mounting surface on the axle. Flat, no rib either.
  7. I will let you guys know tonight what the underside of the CI axle looks like. I here you Gunsmoke, I will probably “doll these up” a bit before they go on, it’s a good starting point. I’m hoping to find a real set from a CI but not holding my breath.
  8. Thanks guys. The model is a CI Six, I’ve noticed several differences between 6’s and 8’s, and several differences between Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth the DeSoto’s seem to share the most in common with the Chryslers. Until an original set for a CI show up, Keiser31’s Dodge brackets are the easiest to build and I’m halfway there....
  9. excellent!!! Thanks!! Can you tell me the thickness of that plate?
  10. Looking for the plate that mounts here.... I have all of the linkage pieces.
  11. yep. I don’t know exactly how it mounts, maybe between the leaf springs and axle?
  12. No, I need the piece that the threaded portion of the eye bolt goes into.
  13. Looking for a set of lower front shock mounting plates. These would be the two plates (one passenger side, one drivers side) that bolt to the U bolts upfront to receive the “eyebolt” at the bottom of the dog bone hanging from the shock arm.... or at least that’s what I think they do, I don’t have anything to go off from. Thanks, JimmyS
  14. Looking for a set of lower front shock mounting plates. These would be the two plates (one passenger side, one drivers side) that bolt to the U bolts upfront to receive the “eyebolt” at the bottom of the dog bone hanging from the shock arm.... or at least I think they bolt onto the U bolts, I don’t have anything to go from, I just know that I have no way to mount the threaded portion of the eyebolt at the lower end of the dog bone. (Eye bolt and dog bone pictured) Thanks, JimmyS
  15. I’m pretty sure this is an 8821, not the correct p/n for my 32, but... once installed no one can tell the difference and it works perfectly. The external contacts are the same as the 9271.
  16. Number is gone, all exterior connections are the same as a 9271.
  17. On to the little things... my headlight switch had been broken and was not in very good shape. A fellow member on here sent me a repairable one all the way from Zimbabwe! This morning’s project was to resurrect it. It came out pretty good.
  18. Wanted rebuildable Carter 6A1 or 6B1 Carburetor
  19. In 1912 there were a few automobiles here on the island I live on in Puget Sound. My great grandpa and some friends started the “Vashon Island Automobile Club”. In 1914 my great grandpa designed this brass plaque to be wired onto club members radiators. There must have been several produced but I have the only one known to still exist. My wife actually had it framed and it hangs in our kitchen 😆
  20. Little things take so long to do. I’m not sure that Chrysler had the dome light switch in this position (by passenger door) but it must have been where my dad thought it belonged. There were wires running out of an escutcheon but no switch. I dug through my parts bin and found a push pull switch from that era, cleaned it up and installed it (had to open the hole that my dad had made, but this looks good and it’s complete)
