The Gawler club held their annual Veteran / Vintage run for cars pre 1931 yesterday. 24 degrees Celsius, Perfect.
Some interesting Dodge Brothers vehicles attended.

Are the end diameters the same or different?
If different diameters then they could possibly be what we called “go / nogo” gauges in aircraft maintenance.
Possible uses, bushing wear test. (Lots of bushes on a DB.)
Just a suggestion.

Not sure quite what you mean Phil so I include a couple of pages out of the book detailing the correct way to set the ignition timing for the NorthEast Distributor.
I hope this helps.Nige.

Matt, it's refreshing to see a bunch of old cars that isn't 80% Fords, like here in the US. I hope you had a good time. I had to lookup what Australia AU day was, kind of like our July 4th. Looked like a bunch of protests took place. Too bad it is spoiled by a bunch of libs with nothing better to do. I think you should all be proud of your country, even if you have lots of animals that can eat you, or sting you.
The perception (misconception) of the danger of losing your life in Australia due to the prolific, deadly wildlife population is a myth. Please stop perpetuating the Myth.

Yeah I wasn’t sure weather they still existed. The box I have is probably pretty old.
We used the range of Gee Jay kits in the Airforce back in the 1980’s the empty tins are now advertised on ebay as collectable and priced more expensive than when they were full.

Yea, we are having cold crap this week. Most of the country will be in the teens at night. Have fun in your week off, eat lots of ice cream that will help. I know you guys build your cars different then us but don't the bows go ACROSS the car? Not front to back.
The spare wheel goes across the car too Doug. 🤔

There are no torque specifications listed for any bolts / nuts on this era of DB cars.
It has been recommended in the past to use a grade 2 bolt as a guide.

A good teacher is great but you do need to be a good student, based on what we see, we have a good teacher, a great student and an amazing amount of really hard work.
Huge Emphasis on the hard work.
You exemplify the six “Ps”
Proper preparation prevents P*** poor performance
