  1. I'm back. What a trip, it was very hot, and rushed but I saved what I could... I will defanately need help to ID most of this stuff.
  2. See below, Address is posted. 671 62nd Ave SE Salem, Or 97317 9 AM If you are early, be respectful and park in the grass and wait. Thanks
  3. Some strange alternators I do not recognize, 6 V Bosch coil... Not much. Take I5 to Salem, take exit 253. It is only a turn or two, for a few miles to 671 62nd Ave SE Salem, OR 97317 Sat 9 AM to evening. Sunday 9 AM to noonish.
  4. What do they look like? Is it a half circle, with marbled button, red ball s logo really small?
  5. Part number, pictures, size or measurements? I have some NOS, but some have no part numbers.
  6. The building had some bookshelf type shelving, and steel racks everywhere and when it all collapsed, the parts got all piled in heaps, Its a sad thing, but I got many parts out of those piles and I only got a quarter of the way through, There are many good things still in there. Not all of them got wet. I will post more photos as soon as I can. I did get a 24 foot trailer home and truck bed full of it already. I just can't save all of it in a 2 week time frame. Anything not sold is going to china as scrap. Sadly- it is their call, not mine. I saw 5 , late model 289 cranks, NOS in the box rusted beyond what I would save.
  7. I went to go see the 30 x 50 barn packed to its gills with mostly NOS from several old dealerships and managed to get a full load home, I only hit a few sections of it. . I have to go back but I know I can't haul it all. So here's the deal: Garage sale type parts blow out Friday and half of Saturday and the address will be announced Thursday morning, near Salem Oregon. The first load we did get did have some 1930's but really heavy on post war. Use this post to RSVP please. If we do not get enough interest, it may not happen. Thanks. The address is 671 62nd Ave SE Salem, OR 97317
  8. Not sure what wheel I saw there, but I will grab it. There were some pulleys I thought were for a tractor or lawn mower. They actually look like yours ! I'll grab those too. If you are near Oregon , You should meet me there.
  9. Its very bright out, I'll try and get better pics. Parts are in WA State, I can ship. These are mostly NOS that were stored very poorly, some of the chrome is not perfect, some is just bad but these may be a few rare cores. Last pic is a water outlet ( stamped Bendix ) with a brass heat exchanger inside, fittings on the outside to direct water somewhere... Anyone know what it is? Fourth picture down: NOS Trico vacc wiper motors only one had the Stude part number. The rest have Trico numbers, Anyone know how to ID them to a year/ model? I'm going back later this week to get more. Any requests of what to look for? They are scrapping anything I leave. Not pictured 1921 rad shell rough, and radiator, another radiator, about a '25 ? A large wire wheel, circa 1930's Engine parts too old for me to know what they are. 252787 late 20's headlight stanchion 274279 stainless steel H/L retainer ring M5 lots of other cars 293065 handle/lever 290483 wiper motor, LT 281621 chrome casting, small. lense retainer? chrome casting, small 1942 t/L lens retainer 272605 door handle, inside? 1941 Champion, Comm body side moulding clips ( to body ) M5 ? hood or grille clips to body C cab trucks 274905 hood pin, lots of models
  10. I just bought the contents of a a 30 x 50 foot old dealer stock. There were many pre war parts in there, including some old, steel wrapped springs. Not sure what they are for but I have to go back before they tear the building down. They are scrapping anything I leave behind. Anyone interesting in doing some excavating of parts just South of Portland , Oregon let me know. I know I am leaving a ton or so behind because some of it was really rough.
  11. I added pricing. Located in Ferndale, WA Thanks
  12. NOS parts: 2 - 193550 Pedal, Brake/ Clutch $ 45/Pr 196333 spring clip, clutch rod retainer, many models $ 5.00 ea 519432 Spring, Clutch return, many models $14 273426 Handle, trunk or door: locking, minus lock cylinder $35 189819 Clip, hub cap retainer, 1947 - 1939 ? Dict, CE and others $10 ea Clutch/Brake pedal steel/rubber, cars 1953 and up $21 ea Tail Pipe, CE and others? Thats all it says on it. $40 266952 Gasket, Windshield 1938 -39 Comm, Pres and CE not NOS, but older stock $ 120 More to list soon.
  13. NAPA 7372 fits the 1950 Land Cruiser (Comm 6 engine ) and I know they are different cars but I would ask for that and just compare them....
  14. Please look at the 7th picture down from the top. This model used a different method. look close at the rear of the block just above the bell housing. It had a big plunger type switch , not a cable pull switch.
  15. Does anyone know if the type of switch shown above was used on 1932 Commander 8? It too, is missing the 'S knob/ cable" which I assume is what starts the car? Wow ! I think we may have found an answer to a small mystery.
  16. I don't know much about these, but the later cars were stamped on the bottom side of the drivers frame rail . Maybe that number you have is there? Or they used the engine # ??
  17. I do. Originally it was stuck and has rust pits on the case. It looked really bad but it blew it out and oiled it/ cleaned it and put juice to it and it spins! I was asking 80 bucks plus $24 shipping, before I knew it worked but I'll stick to the original price.
  18. Could two people 'saw' through the old gasket with piano wire, like removing old glued in auto glass? I also thought if the starter worked, you could oil the cylinders a bit, loosen all the head bolts a few turns evenly and just hit the starter. It should have 110 cylinder pressure and pop right off without the danger of prying........ I have never seen one but may have to do it on a '21 aluminum head soon.
  19. Wagon market is very strong right now. If you 'know' Studebakers and have a good parts source and can do your own work, just snag it and enjoy it. If you are just out to flip it, do your own homework. Wagons are very fun if you were to keep it awhile.
  20. Not sure if they went 1931- 32 or even to some 33's. I found an aftermarket one similar to the 32, just smaller. Here is a picture of an original '32 Commander and aftermarket.
  21. The wheels on the smaller cars had more spokes, and are not as wide. The smaller wheels were about 4 1/4 wide. The Commander was a bit wider, ( check serial numbers ) and the President was the widest. The spokes are held with a huge rivet, the other models used a stud and nut. The first one pictured has a small 'plate' concealing the rivet. A small, sharp chisel will remove the 'plate' Those are very hard to work on.
  22. Going through some extras and have a good used firewall pad and freewheeling gauge for sale, in very good shape. Will have some other misc parts soon. $85 for the pad and $ 125 for the gauge.
  23. Take the Right side drum and put it on the Left. It will help figure out if it is the spindle, or race/ bearing. Put the Left on the right.....
