  2. Trying to get a 355c (1933) running right. Starts up easily after a few cranks with choke and with ignition off and runs fine. Once warmed up still runs but the moment the gas pedal is touched it bogs and or dies. Eventually just dies. After that forget starting till it cools down. The carb appears to have a new float, and the 'double axle' needle control works but is worn. The choke mechanism looks OK. The accelerator pump works but I don't understand what the thermostat does. The fuel pump is good, and the ignition works properly. Keeping the car original is very important, though I might get a trailer light set to put in the rear window for self preservation. Like posts here, getting it on the road and out and about is also important. Would be grateful for any thoughts or experience before I remove the carb again.
