  1. I may have them, I will look in the morning. I am in Oregon
  2. The high speed operates off of a high speed fan relay, it is on the passenger side fender inner, inside the motor compartment. All other speeds are regulated through the blower motor resistor. I would bet money ( if I had any) on the relay.
  3. Not anymore😂 it's a custom
  4. I have always thought the area under the seats on my 65 were ugly. Especially because of cutting to much out of the carpet when I installed the seats. Today I decided to try to improve the look of that area. I started with a lid off a plastic tote, and cut the corners out of it. Next, I started trimming out a cover with an air hack saw. Next I removed the seat anchor strap and put a 3/16 screw with nut in it. After finishing the front ones, it was obvious that I needed to continue to cover the rear mount with the ugly extra hole. Anyway, here is what I ended up with.
  5. In my opinion, I think just meticulous maintenance such as washing and waxing. (I use Nexgen on my chrome parts. Coating them with enamels or paint products is only going to deteriorate and leave your trim looking dull or chipped up.
  6. My guess would be, that the rubber washers have lengthened the head of the screws, and they are now hitting the back of the inside black compartment. This would hold the lid up.
  7. My carb is an Edelbrock, so there was no dash pot on the car. The weird little bracket was one I fabricated to make the hookup. It was slightly to far forward to work and has since been removed.
  8. I was talking about the plastic needle on the speedometer itself. I believe the cable on the back has a threaded thumb nut? It may be a clip, GM did that on a lot of models.
  9. When I bought my Rivi, it had the Edelbrock carb on it. The passing gear switch was laying on the intake. The end had been cut off and the rod had been bent into an eye. I simply put a 3/16 bolt through an existing hole in the linkage and slipped the eye in the rod over it. I adjusted the switch to be fully extended at idle, and fully closed at wide open throttle. Guess that is what a redneck does when he isn't aware of a kit? It works absolutely perfect.
  10. Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong, but any speedo needle I have ever changed just pulls off the small pin exiting the speedometer. The new one just pushes on. I myself would be tempted to just glue it back on with some gorilla glue, or super glue.
  11. Why do you need to remove the speedometer? Can't you just pull the old button off the shaft, then carefully press the new one on?
  12. Stick a pry bar between the yoke and back of u-joint and pop it out. Make sure your wheels are blocked if the car could roll.
  13. Looks good to me, with the switch open, you have near 0 continuity. With switch closed you have 31.2 ohm to complete the circuit. I could be wrong? but that seems reasonable to me.
  14. 65 drive train in Albany Oregon. Not mine just sharing.https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/754510928923284/?ref=browse_tab&referral_code=marketplace_top_picks&referral_story_type=top_picks

  17. In the late 70's my uncle had a 71 Monte. It was a darker burnt orange color. This one is a lighter shade. I know both colors were available on the Monte's.
