Dear forum members,
I work as a staff author for "Auto Bild Klassik", a German classic car magazine. In one of our forthcoming issues we will be featuring a 1941 Chrysler Royal Windsor 3-door coupé. These cars are very rare in Europe and so one can hardly find any information that might be relevant for potential buyers. Also the usual internet sources aren’t very helpful considering that particular model. I would therefore like to ask in this circle of experts if there is anybody out there that could tell me
- which areas of the body and chassis are especially prone to rust
- what the main (technical) weaknesses of these cars are and
- whether or not all 1941 that were equipped with the Fluid Drive transmission had the two-gear "Low" and "High" variant (instead of a 3-speed)
Any information (also on parts availability and restoration topics) would be highly appreciated. Many thanks in advance for your help!
Kind regards,
Martin
