  1. This is 1 I saw on fb marketplace. Mike https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/6859627984149465/?ref=browse_tab&referral_code=marketplace_top_picks&referral_story_type=top_picks
  2. It’s that time of year to start mowing and yard work. I mowed the last two Saturdays. This means about three hours of mowing plus any yard work time that I can’t work in the barn on projects. Fortunately my wife likes to mow, but she had surgery on Monday which means I have to mow at least for the next few weeks. Today was the first day that it wasn’t raining and it’s suppose to rain this Tuesday through Friday so I’ll be mowing next weekend. Life can get in the way of our project time. Mike
  3. All the scrolls on my fire truck are water slide decals. Clean the surface and dry. Install decal and let dry overnight. I then applied a coat of clear coat over it with a brush. Make sure you go past the edge a little to seal it down. Mike
  4. Ford 8N tractors are the same. Google ford 8N and look for lower radiator mounts. I just ordered some for my wife’s tractor. Mike
  5. At least the belt broke now instead of when the grass is growing like wildfire and it’s raining every couple of days. Mike
  6. I’ll check with a good friend next week. I would start looking for diamond t truck and Waukesha engines. That will cover most of the truck. The pump and transfer case is probably a hale. You probably won’t find a lot on line. Mike
  7. Diamond T for sure. Chevy and GMC didn’t use Waukesha engines. Mike
  8. I saw this car when I came out from lunch. I don’t know European cars that well. Would someone id this car? Mike
  9. It was in the petrified forest in northern Arizona where there’s an old pachard that was abandoned on Route 66. Mike
  10. I think it’s a diamond t chassis. As far as vin location, several places to look. On frame above rear spring mount front frame rails just behind the bumper on cowl door posts post pics of engine may help ID the chassis maker. Mike
  11. I saw this bumper while on vacation. At first I thought of Buick from the 50s. Mike
  12. I wish they did that in the US. I can’t go a day without someone driving and on the phone in some form or another. Mike
  13. Been working on my wife’s tractor engine rebuild. Also my fire truck has sat dormant since last November. I didn’t think it would even turn over, but it did. I turned the gas on and hit the key. It started right up so I left it running and brought it up to temp. It ran great! I’ll need to do a couple of maintenance items later on this spring and it will be ready for the year. Mike
  14. Great find Matt. Since you already have the larger wrench, why don’t you machine the new nut down to match the old? Mike
  15. I’m just wondering if the boiler has to be inspected annually? I’ve worked on steam boiler for heating buildings and they have to be inspected every other year in Indiana. Mike
  16. Something else, most high build primers need a tip size of 1.8-2.0 minimum to lay down good. I’ve used a 1.0, but have to reduce. Mike
  17. Also check what the manufacturer wants psi to be. It can really make a difference. Mike
  18. I would assemble first then paint. You don’t have to worry about scratching the new paint and you don’t have to touch up any bolts and nuts. Mike
