Hi - We're rebuilding a 1928 Master six engine in the UK and have found a few bits are missing and we would appreciate some help please. At the moment our focus is on the oil system and in particular, the elbow that connects to the front of the block with a pipe that vents into the crankcase below. Does this elbow have a restrictor fitted? Thanks for your help - Roger

Hi Looking for some help please. We're rebuilding a Master Six engine in the UK and have found that some of the valve lifter springs are broken, or some a different size to the others. There are also just four horseshoe shaped washers which appear to be part of this assembly, but were dismantled before we acquired the engine so we don't know where they fit. Are the springs available anywhere, as well as the steel cups they sit in, and are there any diagrams or pictures available of how the valve lifter assembly goes together. Your help would be much appreciated - thanks.

Looking for a con rod with casting mark 197920 for a 274 cu inch engine - can anyone help please? Roger England UK

I would be grateful for some help as we have discovered on dismantling our 274 cu inch Master Six engine (in the UK) that there are 5 con rods of one type, and another, shorter con rod with a different casting number. Oddly, this shorter con rod seems to have a taller piston to compensate! Anyway, we're looking for a useable con rod with the casting number 197920. Can anyone help please? Regards Roger England

I'm looking to buy a Buick Mastersix engine which has the serial number 2172207. I'm hoping its a 331 cu in engine dating from 1929 or 1930. Could someone give an expert opinion please?
