Hello, The numbers you are looking for are located stamped on the frame behind the left front wheel. It is usually located near to the steering box. You will must likely need to wire brush in that area to find it. I would guess to say it will be a D model followed with numbers like 19, 21, 22, or 23 but most likely a model 19 or 21. The model E series trucks came in late 49 and early 50's with a different style hood. If you can't find the numbers I would be willing to send a picture to a friend and he would most likely be able to tell you just by looking at it.
