  1. The HD versions are definitely louder. Try swapping it for the standard version.
  2. That’s Jimmys Riv and yeah I love it. Huge fan of both of their music. Just saw jimmy last fall at a small club in Cincinnati 😎 that car definitely inspired the skylarks on my car.
  3. There was an older girl in my neighborhood that parked her black 71 at the grocery store next to my neighborhood. I used to ride my bike by there all the time and thought it was sharp. One day her brother gets on the school bus and says, anyone want to by a Riviera? Checked out with dad and while I was crazy about gto’s etc, it was black, had a 455 and buckets/console and a posi. Bought it for $1050 in ‘88. Man it did the best burnouts. Been a riv guy ever since.
  4. I used the **black**cut and sewn from Clark’s and was very happy with it my .02 Sounds like Acc has the best color match for saddle
  5. Ted, do you know Steve Lorenzen in Louisville? He could probably fill that order. PM me if you need his contact Brian

The newer hinges, when closed, are designed to hook into the lower hinge and not let it go back into the glass. The hood will buckle in the middle area and the rear will generally stay where it belongs. Pretty much all the front and rear structures are made to crush and absorb energy as much as possible before it transfers to the passenger compartment. All designed to keep the passenger compartment intact and us safe. I’ve looked at wrecked cars for a living for 25 years as an adjuster. It’s pretty amazing how much better newer cars protect the passengers. That 65 above got hit hard directly in the left rear, not in the side at all. Pretty scary how bad it folded up. Be careful out there while enjoying these great old cars. Ed’s right about the biohazard stickers. They put them on there to warn anyone about blood in there. Brian

Hi Ty and welcome. Sounds like you have a neat car there. You should post some pictures in the picture thread. Here are some pictures of my tach installed in the ashtray door for some inspiration. There are some places you can send your radio to that will install modern “guts” with Bluetooth capability. Do a search and you will probably find a few threads on that subject. Get a service manual if you don’t have one, and join the ROA. You won’t regret it. Brian
  8. Congrats and welcome to the club. Great looking car. Brian
  9. If this is legit Max’s car this will be fun to watch. I’d need some real documentation beyond that repro dash plaque and a business card, but i dig it. Love the period sunroof.

I saw that up there a few years ago, beautiful car.
  11. Yeah I don’t think those are Riv rocker moldings. Ribs look too close together to me.
  12. Finn, thanks! I get a lot of comments on the color. It’s code K, Turquoise mist. ✌🏻
  13. There’s also a link in the above article to a Mitchell article written by Peter DeLorenzo. Amazing read, his older brother, Tony raced one of the first L88 corvettes and others. Good stuff
  14. That is neat. Ed, that’s not SA III, text states it’s a comparison between The stretched A body platform design he originally wanted ( think Pontiac Grand Prix) and the production car. I don’t think I’ve seen these before but always thought he was right and the car would have been better in that scale. Here is a couple shots of SA III, it began as a production car. Super cool Chimera, thanks for posting 👍
  15. Beautiful day in southwest Ohio. Drive them while you can.
  16. Ed, glad it made it. I’m sure ol’ JB has you covered. 😁👍
  17. I mean zero disrespect Rivnik, but this makes me sad...😁 got to drive ‘em
  18. Hey Ed, pretty sure I have one. Let me check. If so, you can have it. I’ll PM you. Brian
