  1. Does anyone have a link to 18inch look alike s?
  2. I have a 1963 Buick Electra 225 is there an 18inch rallye wheel I can buy? Cannot find bolt pattern. Very new at this
  3. Better late than never. I started by replacing the hydraulic switch, immediately the Brake Lights were far more responsive on both sides. When the running lights are on and I hit the brake the side I’ve been having trouble with just goes dark While the other side works as it should. . Without the running lights on both brake lights work With the problem side just being slightly dimmer during that scenario. A step in the right direction but I can’t seem to sort the one side. Thanks in advance for the help.
  4. I am an absolute novice. I have a 1963 Buick Electra. Brake lights have been intermittent and dim overall. Thought hydraulic switch was going bad but tested it and it has good continuity. Cleaned up connections and terminals but no real improvement. Am I missing anything else simple before I dig deeper into this? Thanks for any help or suggestions.
  5. So the black squares would be ideal for the stands? Behind front wheels there are two indents under doors that look like they are made for a jack/jack stand🤷🏻‍♂️ Not the case?
  6. Hello. Very entry level question but just want to be safe about this. Need to replace my starter and I will be using a 2 ton floor jack and jack stands. Just looking for some basic information on the safest lifting points on this vehicle. Never really lifted an X frame before and want to ensure I do it safely/correctly. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you 1963 Buick Electra 225 convertible
  7. Looking for a power seat motor and convertible top latches for my 1963 Buick Electra Convertible. All help is appreciated. Thanks. -Patrick
  8. Back again. The brakes seem to not want to release now. when You apply the brake the pedal does not want to return. If you rev the engine it seems to come back. Other than that you have to move the pedal back manually. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks potentially the rebuilt booster is malfunctioning?
  9. My windows have worked intermittently since I bought the car until recently they all stopped working all together. I took the master 4 window switch on the driver side door apart and realized the red feed wire and a few of the other connections had come off the switch back. The switch is missing the black plastic piece which holds the connector to the switch. The connections are all just clipped on and electrical taped to the switch which led to them falling off and the windows not working. I reconnected them following the wiring schematic and all of the windows work from both the master drivers door switch and each windows individual switch, except the front passenger side. I can get the front passenger side window to go up or down. I can hear a click when you try to cycle the passenger window up but nothing when it goes down. I have used a test light on both the drivers side door switch and also on the passenger side door switch both are getting power so the switches seem to be good on both sides. Is the motor bad? Am I missing something? Next thing I should check? Just want to ask these questions before I start buying all kinds of things? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks Patrick 1963 Buick Electra 225 Convertible
  10. Thank you everyone for the responses and assistance. Brake booster was rebuilt and put back on the vehicle and the system was flushed and bled. The vehicle stops very well now. Going to enjoy it for the rest of the season while considering upgrade options over the winter. Thank you all again.
  11. Thank you for your response. I have found the rebuild option on rock auto and hemi booster.com. I guess the question I’m really trying to ask is this. I would like to upgrade to a dual master cylinder which I have found here :https://www.ebay.com/itm/63-64-65-66-BUICK-MASTER-CYLINDER-DUAL-CONVERSION-lesabre-wildcat-riviera-/281117664759. In the item description it says it will fit the vehicle so I am assuming it will fit the existing booster? Will there be a need for a proportioning valve? If keeping drums all around I shouldn’t need one right? Thank you.
  12. Hello brand new to all of this so any help is appreciated. Purchased a 1963 Buick Electra 225 2 door Convertible a few months ago. Having some braking issues (hard pedal). The vehicle is now parked and I will be going through the steps to diagnose the issue. In an effort to get out in front of this Ive started to try and locate parts for the braking system and have had no problem finding the new brake lines, wheel cylinders and other basic things to begin the overhaul of the braking system. As far as new boosters and dual master cylinders I have had little to no luck finding parts that are compatible for this year vehicle. Any help on finding some of these things, parts used that weren’t necessarily for this year but were compatible or just advice from anyone who has overhauled a braking system on a 61-63 Buick Electra would be appreciated. Thanks for the help. I am very new to this and just doing research. Thanks in advance.
