  1. Hello....questions....are you still making these ? and Are they similar to the 1934 finger pulls ? Thanks...Ken
  2. Mr Pkhammer..........we have discussed the interesting board and we believe that is might be a PART of an old charger. Not sure what is missing but we are considering it if you wish to email me with discussion. Regards...Ken
  3. Mr pkhammer............fascinating picture.....I ran down and talked to my friend,, who is a lot more clever than I am about electrical items. After looking at the picture he said..."it could be" a battery charger but not sure., Requested a picture of the back of the unit and wanted to know what the label says that is under that big knife switch.
  4. Thank you gentlemen for your comments...and yes....I know that this is a hard-to-find item. Just in the hope that one might be in the back...of someone's garage and they have not thought to bring it out yet. We can only hope when we do our searches eh ? While I believe that my chances are slim, they would be zero if I asked nothing. Cheers....Ken
  5. Searching for a scarce Arc Rectifier. (battery charger) for 1900s electric cars. Parts and pieces also are desired. If going to Hershey, might be neat to consider bringing since I would love to display one next to a 1912 Detroit.
  6. Thank you John for heads-up on communication. Appreciate the info. Best Regards...Ken
  7. Neat small car. I like it and wish to be considered in the sale. Please include me in the pool of interest. Send a Private email here and we can discuss it. Regards..Ken
  8. Don't know if this will help...but...stair nosing might work. Available in brass which can be chrome, or other, plated for the desired appearance. Bigger stuff can be cut down...my experience is to work with what can be found....Vintage Hardware has a workable size for trimming......near you too. Here's a link......... https://www.vintagehardware.com/proddetail.php?prod=28494
  9. Want to BUY Gray & Davis, Model Y, starter as shown in the picture. Variations might occur. We desire for a 1916 Metz Model 25 but does not have to come from one They were used on others. Will consider all conditions, even "for parts" items. If we have some luck, we can assemble one from parts found if a dream version does not appear.
  10. Nice car...but....as an owner of 3 High Wheeler (1903 to 06) Holsmans ....which all have 2 cylinder opposed engines...and two 1910 Sears High wheelers....I stumble greatly over the offered price. Even Sotheby sold MINT totally restored Holsmans under 50K and most of the time...a heck of a lot less. To me...more sentiment here than market value. Neat car though...loved the historic story....and, then again, only my opinion.
  11. Yes....I can now see why specs are not so important when the parts are so readily available. Still.....the mind does wander a bit. Thank you for the input Mark and Cutdown.
  12. Thank you Mark...I will do. However....don't you think it would be nice to be able to get something off the shelf to restore our cars ? Silent chain is used extensively in the industry and gears are available...however........there are soooo many chains....sooo many gears...need to be both a slide rule engineer to figure it out. Just thought someone...somewhere...might have found the correct descriptor to be able to order from Ramsey or other companies who specialize in Silent Chain and Silent chain gears.
  13. Thinking of a 1924 Dodge Bros North East Electric Starter/Generator. It uses a GA silent chain and gearing...the label says. It would be VERY helpful, for re-storers, to know how...and by what modern terminology...to order both this GA chain, and possibly, missing Gearing. Is there a neat person out there who this updated information for Dodge restorers ???
  14. Dave...I do not think your comment was out of line. It is just another opinion and I honor your right to hold same. I just see, in this case...that a rebuild would be 90% (perhaps) new stuff or put together...while a case like mine would simply be replacement parts. It is just an opinion of where the greatest..and perhaps...the fastest and most beneficial use of those parts can be obtained. Again....just my opinion. Cheers...Ken
  15. Dave...there is a certain kind of logic in that statement...but...perhaps there are cars out there that need just ONE piece to put them back on the road as completed vehicles for posterity. I am such a case..needing friction contact plate and gear drive. The rest of the car is just sitting there..finished..waiting for that all important part. Shame really not to complete what is doable quickly than to start a (perhaps) several years long project which might..or might not...get done. Cheers...Ken
  16. Wonderful....I have sent my request for a copy of the great new Newletter. Best Regards...Ken
  17. Hello....I have a 1913 Metz I am trying to restore...would very much like to have chassis and drive information if the scans includes it. Thank you gentlemen for your kind offer.....Ken
  18. This car has made the rounds. Been advertised for several different prices on different sites. Here is the latest listing: https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1545490/1930-chrysler-imperial-for-sale-in-cadillac-michigan-49601 On another entry...the original seller weighs in about NOT knowing what is going on. Prices have ranged from 35K to 22K and now 26.5K. Neat car...too bad...but then...the best lure catches the best fish eh ?
  19. I just saw this car...still for sale...on Hemmings. If you go to the auction site given...you will even see parts laying all over the floor...a partial paint job and even a neat set of replacement tires. Did not know that this car such a scam history. How can this STILL be going on ???
  20. Is it for sale ? Can use it on a Sears Restoration project.

Working on a 1910 Sears Motor Buggy which is in pretty good condition...except...when arrived..found out that both bearings, in one front wheel, were totally missing...and the other wheel...they are shot. There are NO numbers on the perished set at all. Tried McMaster...nothing silmilar Anyone replaced these bearings on their Motor Buggy ?? Would like to find a source. Thanks...Ken
