In my opinion it's French, the placement of the licence plate. Not Citroën and definately not Peugeot as a chromed headlight is clearly visible. Perhaps a Renault or some of the smaller marques Still active in the late 30s?
Thanks for the answer. That's what I first thought, a Renault convertible, Viva or Primaquatre. But I can't find a picture of the same rear.

Looks like about a 1935 or so Fiat to me.
It seems indeed. Thank you very much 😊

Phil, it's possible that the "Woodie" or Station Wagon model of the Matford wasn't that popular so they fabricated them to order. It's not uncommon to see slight variations in some models of lesser known wooden vehicles. I checked the roster of the National Woodie Club and there is only one Matford listed.
Yes, I have also only seen the "break de chasse" (1938), which was it seems the only woodie by Matford.
Thanks to everyone. -
It is a bit disturbing to me that we cannot find the same model with the same rear... Could it be that Matford were producing specific on-demand cars?

This appears to be a 1937/38 Matford.
Thank you! That could be it, since we are in France. Meudon was my home town when I was a kid. ?

Hi, I cannot find the brand of this woody station wagon.
The picture is from an old Postcard, this is at the railway station in Meudon, France, near Paris, I first looked up in the French cars but could not find a similar one.
Does someone have an idea?
