  1. Can anyone supply me with a color chart of paint choices from 1935? Or a paint code for Sand Dune? Much appreciated.
  2. I have an extra you can have for the cost of shipping.
  3. I have the manual, I'm just wondering where to begin. No sims? 60 shims?
  4. OK, I'm ready to place the brake backing plates onto the rear axle but I'm not sure about the shims that go in between them. I'm using an axle from car "A" and the brake components from car "B", so I'm guessing that the shims I saved from car "B" wont really have a true relationship with axle "A". Shims were not present on axle "A". Just toss a few on and adjust later when I mount the tire and wheel? Thoughts? Thanks!
  5. Hello Robert. Well, let me say "probably". I got The O.D. a while ago and it was not attached to a gearbox. At the same time, I got a couple of free wheeling units and a T83 and half of a T81 . Half because the actual trans case was somehow ripped away from the bell housing, leaving the mounting flange on the bell housing, which was then lost to time who knows when. Anyway, the O.D. and gearbox I have were likely never together. But who knows? On a separate but related topic, I'd like to ask the guys and gals out there what they would use on their car? Free wheeling or Overdrive? My car is a Commander, so I was going to use the F.W. as that's how it was built. Any thoughts out there? Thanks!
  6. After a weekend of sorting through parts stashes, I discovered (with the help of a friend) that I was somehow in the possession of a 1935 President over-drive transmission. Looks to be in very nice condition and complete. I believe these are a one year only production unit. I have no real use for this so, drop me a PM if interested. Thanks.
  7. I'm not seeing some of the filler panels on the bed. These are HARD to find, but I wouldn't let that stop me from purchasing. I did one about 15 years ago, sold it about 12 years ago.
  8. Careful, those repro. sockets are impossible to find bulbs for.
  9. Have a couple of hub caps that are good candidates for restoration.
  10. Might want to try soaking the socket and reflector with WD40 or the like for a while. Then they should just twist off. I think you need to push the sockets into the reflector a little while twisting as well. I wore leather gloves too and it made it easier.
  11. Your battery cables were not tight or properly grounded.
  12. I wouls love to see that photo! Thank you again!
  13. I'm ready to start the interior install of my '37 Dictator coupe but could really use some photos of what the original door panels looked like when finished. Are there patterns on these as in say a '35? Greatly appreciate the help! Thanks!
  14. There is a very good video on youtube by Uncle Tony ( Uncle Tony's Garage ) that deals with all kinds of trouble shooting on carbs. Check it out
  15. I have a friend in the San Francisco area who probably has these. Send me an email and I'll send his his contact info.
  16. I'm curious about what lubricant to use in my freshly refreshed steering box. Also, why are there 2 zerks right next to each other on it? Is 1 a vent? Thanks!
  17. Is the check valve still present in the fuel line going into the carb?
