  1. Hello group. I have mt 91 with a couple of bulbs not lighting up in the instrument cluster even when the test button is pushed. I have the cluster out of the car and would appreciate some advice on how to get to the bulbs. These are not the 194 bulbs I was expecting to find. Much smaller. Thanks.
  2. Yes, the switch came apart in my dash. Being a 91 it seems more difficult to find a replacement. I have found all the parts except 1 of the little brass disks. Are the parts inside the same as the older reatta switches? They seem easier to find. I watched a tutorial posted here that was great on how to reassemble the switch or would be happy to send it to someone who has done many and may have spare parts. Thanks.
  3. Thanks Barney. That makes sense to me, just never seen one that is part of the glass. Different topic... Do you know where to find a center cap for the 16 inch wheel? Very hard to find. (silver) Thanks.
  4. Hello. I have a 91 reatta and was cleaning the inside windows and noticed a strange single wire in the center of the rear window up buy the headliner and am wondering what it is? It is on the glass and drops down about 3 inches.
  5. Pm sent kdirk. Thanks padgett, I will try that since it needs to come out either way. Is the dealer able to clone a new chip if this does not fix it?
  6. First off thank you to this forum for all the help on my 91 reatta. No more check engine light. I do still have a bcm code of 556 (eprom fail). There is a error message where the odometer is supposed to read. Before I dig into the dash and find the bcm, is there anything else that I should be looking for? Also there is a sir code of 061 but I think that is from a burnt out dash light.
  7. Hi Barney. Yes the black and yellow wires are plugged into the other coolant sensor under the throttle body/maf.
  8. Thanks, 2seater. I too find it interesting that gm would put in a sensor to fill that hole instead of a simple plug, but hey... as long as everything is working I'm not going to worry about it.
  9. Here is a picture. The sensor is just below the vacuum lines.
  10. Hello Barney. It is definitely a coolant sensor. The only other coolant sensor I see is mounted directly below the throttle body/maf and it has a pair of yellow and black wires going to it. My gauge works perfect and the fans come on with the a/c. I will try to post a picture in a bit.
  11. I was looking under the hood of my '91 today and noticed a sensor in the intake manifold, drivers side, directly under the fuel pressure regulator that does not have any wire going to it. I searched high and low but do not see any extra wire that should be plugged into it. It appears that it has only one pin on it for a single wire. Everything works on the car. Anyone know what this sensor is.
  12. Thanks guys. I did replace the maf sensor and the car runs much better and the code 34 is gone. I still have the 41 code and will be looking into the cam sensor/magnet next.
  13. Thanks ronnie. Im at work now but will pm you later tonight. You may want to keep the book because I may have a 91 reatta for sale lol.
  14. Thanks daves89. Ill check it out.
  15. The manual was bought on e bsy. It was a downloadable book in pdf form. It was supposed to be specific for the 91 but it is more like a generic buick book than a reatta book.
