  1. 2004R. Picked it up from Gene Teston, owner of Garage One products.
  2. I just wanted to give a little bit of any update on this project. I purchased a built trans from a local person. I have been waiting for months for Russ of Centerville Auto to get me the adapter plate that is requried. I already have the total cure package from Bowler Performance transmissions. This takes care of th shifting and torque converter lockup control. I will give updates and pictures, as the swap progresses.
  3. I don't need the brackets anymore, but if someone needs a 1964 trans kickdown bracket I'll sell mine for $10 plus shipping.
  4. This is located in West Central Florida: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/783244412441273

  6. Gene I believe the threaded portion is for the bracket that holds it to the intake manifold.
  7. If the cost isn't too bad, it might be worth it to just let him take care of it.
  8. It was either on the ROA website, about the GS or on Team Buick website. If I remember correctly, it was an approximation.
  9. There is no such thing as "GS" springs. You are talking about the code "H2" handling package, 2/3's of GS's had it, 1/3 didn't. They lowr the car approximately 1" and are firmer. Also, welcome!
  10. I found this out, years ago, when I was selling two used tires. The guy from Canada told me to ship via USPS, also to ship them open. He said they would fly thru customs, with no broker fee because of USPS. I looked funny walking into USPS with two tires!..l.:)
  11. John: I don't know if you know this, but there is no broker if you ship via USPS between Canada and USA.
  12. I purchased this kit thru Jegs, for $279. I haven't installed it yet, as it is designed for diisc/disc. Eventually I'll be putting rear discs on. In the mean time, my 65 booster is also dead. I may just send it to Dewey for repair.
  13. Rock auto has several belts listed for power steering without a/c. This is with the 425ci.
  14. So far, no one as ever come up with a factual reason for the little star. I think that would be the find of the century.
  15. You do realize, that springs take about 1.5 to 2 months to "settle"! The car is going to drop.
  16. Fatbuick: Unfortunately, the 3.07 and 3.23 ring gears are too small to fit on the 3.42 carrier unit.
  17. Congarats on your first Riviera purchase. Looks real nice for a 1974 repaint!
  18. They are. from all the years of have just a driver. I'm going to swap the rear springs from left to right.
  19. Plus, they know that most times these cars are going to be driven by just a driver. Therefore they shim the drivers side up a little to compensate. I know my car static, with no driver is 1" lower in the back/left side than right side.
  20. I believe that Tom said that it just allows the trans to shift at a higher rpm.
  21. Is that 100 octane using the RM/2, Research, or Motor method. According to my calculations, my 65 Riviera whilch requires either 99 research or 90 motor method, would require 94.25 RM/2 method octane. If I use the 90 RM/2 method octane (non etthanol) and use 2 bottles of Gumout octane booster, I should end up with 93.5 octane. Close enough.
  22. Just from the diagram that is posted on Summits website, you will need a set of the code 8t53 wheels from Mid 67 thru 70 disk brake vehicles.
  23. I am in the process of swapping my ST400 for a GM 200-4R. Waiting on Russ from Centerville Auto, to get me the 4l60 bellhousing and 200-4R swap/adapter plate. In the meantime, I've semi installed my Edelbrock AVS2 carb. I'm also using the tru-shift kit and lock up control module from Bowler Performance Transmissions
