Rivieras and Riviera parts for sale on local Craigslist, eBay, etc.
psychostang replied to RivNut's topic in Buick Riviera
Selling a pair of 1964 Riviera Taillights for a friend. These are original units. One lens has a crack that was glued or epoxied together. He wants $60 firm for both plus shipping. As you can see in the pics, does not include the Riviera emblem. -

Oh and of course we have to have the proverbial broken horn bar steering wheel I just have a feeling that if anyone buys this car, they are going to be dissapointed at that price. -

Did anyone notice the tyrap holding the parking brake pedal to the release handle? I wouldn't give $15k for this car. There are a lot of hidden issues. Plus, no A/C, oilpan and trans pan are seriously rusted. Axle has a pinion seal leak. Everything is seriously rusted on chassis suspension steering and parts of exhaust. Not to mention the wrong badges for a 2nd week of Dec. build. -
Welcome to the forum Mark. Good luck in your restoration. Lot's of good information on this forum.

If the wheels you have are original to the 65, they won't have a code. That started in 66. Also, the 65 wheels will only fit drum brake equipped vehicles. If you intend to install disc brakes, get the code 853 wheels.

Hi Barney. That's my problem. My power antenna motor works, but I need a mast.
-
I truly can't stand when people refuse to part with original paperwork. That is part of the provenance of the vehicle.

From the ROA website - ID a GranSport: In 1966 the words "Riviera GS" appeared on the wood trim attached to the glove box door. The letters are in a block style like those used on the fenders. Despite what some dealer brochures listed this was the last year that the GS marking appeared in the interior. Pretty clear, that the 67 GS should not have Riviera GS on the glove box door.

They wouldn't happen to have any original paperwork? I.E. original order form, Monroni report(window sticker), build sheet? It's not full proof, considering the fraud that is out there, but it is your best bet. Good luck.

yes it would! Then I would have to wire in an electric fan. More work. I do want to keep it somewhat old school.

FOR SALE: AC Delco Dual Brake Master Cylinder BRAND NEW
psychostang replied to first64riv's topic in Buick Riviera
Wow, trying to find information for this specific A/C Delco M/C was a little difficult. According to Summit Racing, this fits 67 thru 69 Rivieras with Bendix M/C's and Drum/Drum systems. -
Tom, funny but very dissappointing at the same time. I really wanted the 2004R adapter plate, but that is over now. So, since this car is a mish mash of parts, I have no problems putting a different Buick engine that is BOP, so I can use the 2004R trans as is.
-
You are correct, he was referring to the 400/430/455 family So I guess what I need to know is the height of block from the mount to the top of the engine. As he stated it's possible that the engine would sit to high when sitting on the 65 Riviera engine cradle. I wonder if custom mounts would help. I am definately not mounting the engine solidly to the crossmember.

Thanks Ed. I don't have any further information on this ty[pe of swap. It's on the back burner for now. Once again, thanks for your input.
