  1. Currently on BAT: 1964 Buick Riviera for sale on BaT Auctions - ending November 12 (Lot #59,459) | Bring a Trailer
  2. Ok, so if anyone has a lead on just the 2 lower moldings, please let me know.
  3. Really? Unfortunately, I don't have the 2 long bottom sections, so I don't know what they look like.
  4. EmTee: Would you be willing to go and Inspect these moldings? If they are in good condition, I would be willing to send you the $50 bucks, and have you ship them too me. Edit: Stupid me, I should have just looked at the main picture, and I could see what they look like. Definately not the same. OH well, I'll keep looking for just 2 long lower sections.
  5. Always remember, that when you ship to/from Canada, use the USPS/Canada Post. They have an agreement, where there is no broker fee. You still go thru customs though.
  6. Do you have a picture of the console lid hinge and screws. This ok for a 65?
  7. You guys make me laugh. This thread is over 4 years, 7 months old.
  8. Engines replaced by "Buick", are called "replacements", and they have no numbers whatsoever! the 65 Riviera VIN plate is rivited to the drivers front door jamn.
  9. I have emailed them twice thru the website. Usually took 1 or 2 days to get back to me.
  10. Unfortunately, it is not a Super Wildcat. He says in the ad, that it is coded KW. Someone just installed the dual carbs.
  11. On my engine there is a fitting on the drivers rear intake runner. This has a rubber hose going to the vacuum canister.
  12. Hi Tim: Welcome to the forum. Car looks real nice. Good luck with it!
  13. Do you still have the 63-65 power antenna/bezel/wiring?
  14. Are any of those from a 1st Gen? I need the mast to fix my 65 unit.
  15. I hope no one ever drove there Riviera in the salt water. 5 to 6 years later, your unit subframes would be nothing but rot.
  16. Well, since your car is a 64 Riviera, the correct engine would be a 425 single carb or 425 dual carb. 401 was not available for 64. Now, the red air cleaner would be for a 63, even tho this one is not crinkle coated. The 63 engines are also painted silver. As was previously stated, you can scrape away the paint on the top front of the engines driver and passenger side to read the serial number and production code. Note: the production code will be upside down If this is a 63 401 4 barrel, It should say JT with a 2 or 3 digit number.
  17. All finned valve covers for 66 were dimpled. The only engine available for 66 was the MW code. Single 4 barrel carb. Yes, the dual carbs were a dealer option for the first half, then factory order capable for the second half of 66. When ordered from the factory, it was coded MZ. But, there was no Super Wildcat engine for 66 . A.I.R was not an option, it was a state required emission system.
  18. Doug, you may either remove it completely, or cap it and tie it back. That wire is solely for reducing 12v down to 9 or 9.5v for the stock coil.
  19. I have the 20" fan off of my 65 Riviera, will that work? I also have the thermostatic clutch if you need it.
  20. We all know that the only engine available for 66 was the cod MW single carb 425. In the first half of the year, the dual quad could be had as a dealer ordered and installed option. It wasn't until March I believe that you could order the new code MZ engine which is just a code MW with the dual carb intake setup. Code MX was used on a V-6 for 66. This is probably a late october or early november engine build, that someone at the dealer or maybe one of the owners, tried to stamp a Z with a chisel! It is too large and in the wrong spot. You can plainly see the correct size W right next to the numbers.
