hi Jerry here: the opening to left of key is 5/8" dia which increases to 7/8" dia. on the underside. Any idea what brands of cars and what years it might have been offered? (Also one person said they thought it was a steering wheel lock.)

hi thanks for reply. You are probably correct, Others are saying the same thing. I had a reply this morning that said It is a steering column lock. Possibly aftermarket? hope someone will recognize this accessory lock for spare tire or for the side mount tires and can tell me what brands of cars and what years it fits. hi thanks, it has a modern key in it. Stamped on the ilco key is: H 1098 810 A Nothing stamped on the other side of the key.

it measures 1 3/4" x 2 1/8", someone said they thought it might have been from an early Buick. If so it might have been used on other GM cars also? see pix below thanks for your help jerry whitfield Winston salem NC
