  1. Looks like my 28 roadster I took for a drive today. Looks like an early 28 from the hubcaps. Mine is a late 28, but a very fun car.
  2. I will be there, commuting from home, most likely. It's an hour drive for me, depending on traffic. It will be my first.
  3. I have a mounting bracket for the driver's side for a 1949-50 Ford convertible. It is the base mount that attaches to the side body at the bottom. Part no. 8A7653229A2. $100 plus shipping. Located in Takoma Park, MD. milford.sprecher@gmail.com 301-830-2198
  4. For the replacement fan, get one of the aluminum two-blade fans. They usually fit well.
  5. Model A's are great. Fun to drive, incredibly reliable and pretty easy to get parts for. Lot of local clubs to join, too. Everyone should have at least one.
  6. FYI. I posted a parts wanted on the EV8Forum and got a response from charlesducan788@gmail.com. The response seemed odd as he said he was parting out what appeared to be a perfectly good car. I engaged in an e-mail dialogue and became more suspicious. Bad grammar, not well written, didn't respond to my request to post a photo of the part he supposedly had. I asked him what regional group he belonged to and where he lived? His response was "what do you mean?" By that time I had done a search on his e-mail address and came up with a couple of hits on old car forums where he had either posted with parts for sale or the like. I reported him as phishing to Gmail. Who knows what will happen, but I suspect he will show up again as someone else?
  7. Love this project. You are a very skilled, detail-oriented individual. Great work!
  8. Great car and excellent photos you have taken. Good luck with it!
  9. 144K miles Burgundy. 4 speed manual transmission. Currently registered as a historic vehicle in Maryland. Current owner bought the car in 2004 and it was a daily driver until about 5 years ago. Low compression in #2 cylinder. Car runs pretty well. There is a lifter tap. Needs new tires. Interior, glass and headliner all very good. Dash has one crack. There is a small dent over the rear window. Comes with some extra parts, including grille, tail lights, car cover, shop manuals and other odds and ends. Maintenance records.
  10. I don't see that it sold. Beautiful car, but maybe wishful thinking about it appreciating. Probably more likely to decline in cost because those of us who really like them are gettng older.
