To complete the glove box literature which was included in your vehicle, the Freedom Battery & the Chemical Spotting pamphlets (repop) are available. The price for the set is $15 and the shipping cost will be whatever the post office charges to your address. The pamphlets will ship in a small Priority envelope.

Black Freedom II battery toppers are now available. These were used from late 1984 - 1987. All battery toppers are $70 ea, add $15 for priority mail shipping which includes full insurance. This price is for the continental US only. The toppers fit 78 series batteries perfectly and will also work on the smaller batteries like the 75 series but will have some of the topper overhanging the battery. Cars without a top battery hold down will need to secure the topper with tape, Velcro, or glue, not supplied. By using white or off white paint on the battery case will complete the mock up of the original Freedom Battery.

They are currently for sale at Ames Performance Engineering (www.amesperf.com). I have been in contact with Ecklers and Year One, so hopefully they will be showing up on their web sites soon. Hi My name is Dave and I am new to the forum. I own a 1978 Trans Am and my friend and I designed up and had a small run of Freedom and Freedom II battery toppers made. They are currently selling on eBay but we give a small discount to people who purchase them through the forums. I am not a company, I created these toppers with a friend because we wanted our cars to be as close to original as possible.
