I asked about the origins of this sign in the memorabilia section, I was informed it’s a reproduction / fantasy sign since they never made one like that. I’ve come to terms with that, but am wondering who might have made it and when. Ande Rooney perhaps? I originally assumed it was a legitimate antique since it was rusted (in what I felt was a more natural way) and the back was white porcelain as well. But since I’ve been informed by about 4 people it’s a fake, is this something made in the 70s and then left to rust on someone’s barn? As you can see I cleaned it up. I can feel the layers of the porcelain, so it seems like a nice product.

That’s too bad. I bought this one. Was hoping it was legitimate since it looked old. I only paid 30 bucks though. Oh well, still an interesting wall hanger.

I was wondering where these round porcelain signs would have been located? I see them advertised as gas pump advertising signs, but can’t seem to find any old photos of them installed. Were they used on the actual pump or nearby? Thank you

Hello everyone, I bought this key because another persons suggestion it might be a gearbox lock key. Nobody here. Well, it doesn’t fit my 26’s gearbox. Any idea what year DB it would fit and its application? Thank you

I will get pictures of the inside. The symbols are cut out of a sheet of brass or something. The glass slides into the brass sheet and the brass sheet slides into the frame.

I assumed Chinese because if you google “stop in Chinese” The simplified Chinese character is the same. But I don’t know much about foreign languages so I could be wrong.

Hello everyone, I wanted to show everyone this flea market find I picked it up at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. I knew it was 20s and had to have it. I’ve got a thing for 20s technology. I looked up the company and it appears they made auto signaling devices in the late teens and twenties. This signal is double sided. Someone has replaced the glass with plexiglass and added new light filter gells. I had to clean all the contacts and rewire some of the harness to get the lights going. It has 6 bulbs, 3 on each side. The bulbs are “Franco” brand 6-8 volts and have the old fashioned “tip” where they created the vacuum seal at the top. They are the all the same bulb and all still work. I can get photos of the inside and bulbs if there is any interest. Thanks

Sorry for the late reply. I don’t know much about it. There are no patent numbers on the data plate, just a serial number.

My 26 wouldn’t start when my rotor wore out. But yeah, do the basic checks. Spark, compression, fuel.

What a saga this has turned into! I hope it budges soon.

I just restored an aftermarket 6 volt wiper motor from the 20s. I like the rectangular design more that the rounder models used on Ford and such.

I run NOS plugs in my Dodge. Rentz brand. Engine runs and they look period. What more can I ask?
