we have worked on these older cars before just not a mclaughlin so it should be ok , im sure there will be things we willask for help with along the way, we have a tag from the engine the number is 277552. there is a chassis tag but we havent had the car yet so i dont know what it is

its solid and the paint isnt new its old paint(not original)

Hi we have just bought a McLaughlin which the vendor dates between 1915 and 1922, looking at the picturesonline is looks like a D45 model, it has a 4 cylinder engine but metal wheels, the tyre sizeis 30 x 3.5 . How can we tell what yearit is?

thats very helpful thank you, we have the engine back together now and all seems ok we think the cam gear wasnt on tight enough so we have pressed it on then fitted it into the engine.

Hi I have a 1925 chevrolet with the 171 engine the cam has around 1 inch of backward movement which doesnt seem right does it have a spacer /washer on both ends of the cam or just at the front?
