  1. Hahaha, thanks for the heads up!
  2. A year ago when I still had my 69!
  3. Hi, I'm looking to buy a complete windshield wiper motor system for my 66 Riviera, but I can only find ones for the 69 Riviera. Is it possible to make the 69 work on my 66? Any tips? Thanks!
  4. I need a wiper motor for a 67 Riviera. Are there other cars wiper motors that fit, other than the original? Thanks
  5. Hi, I'm having a problem with one hydraulic lifter. After an oil and filter change, and cleaning the lifter, it's still making noise. In my 69 430 engine, I have solid pushrods, and the hydraulic lifters seem to be the ones that fit the hollow pushrods. Do I need to buy lifters that fit the solid pushrods only, or can I still use the ones I have? I'm new at this so I have no idea. Thanks
  6. Where can I find new headers that fit the 1969 Riviera 430 engine? Thanks
  7. my Rivi got photographed downtown the other day.
  8. Finally took the Rivi out for a ride the other night. She won't shift to 3rd, now we gotta get that sorted out.
  9. It seems that the valve body gasket was the issue, I put another torque converter from th350 in, looks the same and fits right. now it goes to first and second, but I can't get it to go into third.
  10. Thanks for your reply. The symptoms were just like before, at first it was somewhat going to first, but then gave up completely. We took the transmission off the car again. The fluid has gotten dark already and some plates were burnt. (just tested the car in front of my house) I have another torque converter, so I'll give it a try with that one, I'll put some new plates and fluid in and see what happens.
  11. So, the guy installed all new traction plates, steel plates, direct clutch and clutch hub, because those were wasted as well. The transmission is back on the car. (the vacuum modulator was changed prior to the transmission rebuild) The filter and liquid is all new. Now, when I put it in drive, it starts going forward right away, when I put it in reverse, it goes reverse right away. But when I try going uphill, it seems as the gears slip, and the car starts going backwards. Is that a torque converter issue or what? My troubles are not ending yet.
  12. I unscrewed the reverse oil line from oil cooler and I saw that the oil is coming out under pressure. That should mean that the pump is working?
  13. Yeah, it seems it's getting worse. I'll order a new pump. Finding a good mechanic that knows around american classics over here is no easy job. Thank you for the reply
  14. I have changed the vacuum modulator, and everything is plugged in. The liquid level is ok. Reverse works fine. When I put it in drive, it acts as if it's between gears, I have to step on the gas multiple times to get it going. I don't know what else to do.
  15. Hi, my transmission in my 1969 Riviera goes reverse and in first gear. It sometimes shifts to second if I step on the gas hard, and is often shifting back to first when not necessary. There is no third. It's not missing fluid. Could anyone please make some suggestions of what it might be? Thank you.
  16. I called the guy, asked about the car, he seemed pretty nice. Then I asked him if it was okay if he sent me some pictures because I'm not able to come and take a look at it, he said he would, later he sent me a message saying that it got dark after he got home, so he'll send some pics tomorrow. That was a month ago today, still no photos. The guy really does not want to hear about no photos.
  17. wow. I had no idea. I've had people who shipped my car overseas, ship it though the US and they charge way more. Thanks for the link!
  18. Thanks for the links! They are a bit too far away from NJ, shipping the car over there would cost me like $3000.
  19. It sure is. My steering wheel and dashboard came all cracked up, but I'll get to replacing it.
  20. omg! you own the most important thing - the cupholder! I bought it, I just have to install it. your whole interior looks amazing, nice job.
  21. Your car looks bomb, and that's a nice place. I love the steering wheel too.
