  1. i have a standard six late 27, but i could use the floorboard aluminum pedal surrounds and starter pedal surround, also the headlamp bar brackets and also a top hood half i believe theirs a good chance they are the same. wish i was closer, great pics by the way. also that side spare mount looks interesting.
  2. That's a cool pic, lucky to have it.?
  3. not mine https://newlondon.craigslist.org/pts/d/1934-studebaker-parts/6603517650.html
  4. on the hunt for two left and right headlamp bar to fender mounting brackets, started to restore headlamp bar assembly pleasantly surprised to find the brackets are clamp on expected them to be welded, however they are very thin and rotted, could spend that time to restore elsewhere anybody have two in their spares looking for a good home. from different pics I've seen possible multiple years are the same 25,26,27,28 ? consider complete assembly also. thanks!

  8. You sir are a wealth of knowledge! thanks for the accurate account of history
  9. ahh! didnt even notice the link.. to busy looking at that sign!
  10. that is sweet any info-history on the building? that sign man.... worth a few pesos
  11. Very interesting i appreciate the info, i'm a big history nut. I think i recall reading he shot himself twice in the chest in his study, man that had to hurt ,i imagine he chose that method to spare his family at the viewing. Your cemetery stroll sounds awesome my daughter graduates from Mount Ida College in Newton Mass in 3 months she will be a licensed funeral director , she has been working in the industry for almost four years now, so you cant go five minutes around here without some type of funeral related conversation! I do have a few rules around the dinner table though!
  12. no problem, only thing i can think of is they might of been talking about it being difficult to sand? some can, also used standox epoxy for years that sands real nice but 2+ plus times the cost of SPI and no red oxide color, also maybe they were talkin bout self-etch primer ...who knows good luck with yours
  13. Hmm.. that i didn't know, March seems not to be a very good month for Studebaker
  14. yeah that's ridiculous not your statement but theirs unless they know something i don't , i'm not a ppg guy we tried it at the shop about 15 years ago gave it an honest try about 6 months i think changed our whole system over to it, biggest thing i didnt like was the base and clears at the time. anyways back on topic , we use dupont chroma-premeir for our basecoat and single stage colors , but all undercoats primers, cleaners etc., and clearcoat we use SPI out of georgia, we made that move about 6-7 years ago and absolutely love the clears and primers and cleaning prep products. this epoxy
