  1. CNC probably won't work as these cars weren't held to tolerances tight enough to allow true interchangeability of wood parts. Also include poor assembly line QC and it is difficult the to produce wood parts that will fit every car. Also add differing body styles and limited common pieces there would be no real quantity savings. Given the high number of makes, body styles, year to year changes, and loose (by modern standards) tolerances the only real fix is making and hand fitting parts to a specific body. One size fits all will probably result in less then satisfactory fit which I have seen on many restorations using self made and purchased wood pieces alike.

  2. As I said I have one of each door pictured on my Facebook page. I cannot see a Cabriolet door working on a coupe but anyway look at the pictures I have and then tell me. By the way there is only superficial trim and paint differences between US and Canada GM production during that era.

  5. As mentioned there would have been an oil separator/crankcase breather in that hole with a pipe to the air cleaner mounted to the carb. Without it you will have a buildup of gasses in the block especially if you have the early top pan with no vent holes. Finding these three parts can be very difficult and expensive if you do. By the way the correct air cleaner only fits the original Carter carbs. As this seems to be an early car it would have had a Carter 125S carb that has the short fat accelerator pump. You can use the later 136S or 150S carbs with the long accel pump but they are not 100% accurate. If interested I can check as I may have these parts available as well as a NOS 150S Carter carb. I also have various 136S carbs that need rebuilding.

    Also with the fuel pump if it does not have the correct lever to engage the cam there could be fuel delivery issues to the carb or eventual damage to the cam lobe. It should be verified same as the proper pump.

    Another thing you have the wrong cap on the oil filler tube.

  7. If this is the early version ( which the rocker cover indicates having no vents) there should be no sealing around the spark plug holes. They are open for venting. On the other side of the engine there should have been an oil separator just ahead of the bellhousing with a pipe that goes to the carb. Air was sucked through the here from the crankcase to remove blow by gasses. If you seal the spark plug holes then the crankcase won't vent. Later in 29 Chev changed to a vented rocker cover and the small pipe from the carb went to the oil filler tube further ahead on the block. 

  8. Not selling my books but could scan the pages. All parts are listed. So far looking for 30+ years I have not yet come across any parts for these heaters. I have not yet even seen one on a car and I live in a city where these cars were manufactured.
