Ed, any chance we will see this Riviera at Lexington?

The linkage will bind if the motor moves enough.

If they are both out of the car, I think it would be easier to install together.

My '63 has a rough idle in drive also. I changed the Rochester to the correct Carter with no change in idle quality.
I have read that Buick made changes in 401 camshafts in 1962 and mid 1963 to improve idle quality. I think a early cam may have been installed in my car during a rebuilt by previous owner.
The car runs fine in park and off idle in drive.

Being the December issue, maybe Ray knows who has been naughty or nice.

I didn't get mine yet either.

That would be a good time fix windshield washer if it needs it.

Bill, is that a check valve on the end of your overflow hose? I don't have that on my '63.

My speedometer is not accurate. My mileage is not as good when checked with GPS.
Quality of the gas has a big effect on my mileage. I noticed that driving from Michigan to Branson last year.

As usual, the forecast is changing but I'm sure it will be a great show.

The weather forecast is looking great for the show.

The ROA meet in Kalamazoo would be a good place to look for some aluminum valve covers .

Tim,
Your air cleaner looks great painted body color.
Nice article and pictures on your car in March/April Riview

The VHT paint works good. You need to remember to remove the air cleaner with clean hands when working on the engine. The paint stains easily and can be difficult to clean.

Bill, I have the same problem with my toyo tires.
Lacquer thinner seems to be the best way to clean them.

A 60 year old NOS part is still a 60 year old part.

Keep in mind when holding at arms length you are going to see flaws that may never be noticed when mounted on the car.

You see alot of wire caps dented outward on the rim from trying to pry off in one spot too hard.

Bob, we need more pictures of your new ride.

What would you call it? A Chevick?
These were both good designs that I don't think work well together.

Just put it in Bob's Bargain Corner and pass on the labor savings.
