  2. Looking for part or will by all if not wanting to spilt up, stainless trim that mounts in rubber gasket of rear window on 49- 52 chevy styleline deluxe . Mainly need small joiner clip piece that covers joint of 2 arc pieces at top.
  3. Wanted 1950 Chevrolet styleline driverside sunvisor mount bracket or whole unit, 218-832-3537
  4. Thanks Caddy, Taylormade, and all. That's what I wanted to hear. Other then regular circuits like head lights, tail lights wipers, horn etc it has GPS speedometer, electric choke, electric fuel pump, electric radiator fan. NO fan/heater, radio, dash gauges/lights,( after market oil, ammeter, temp gauge mounted under dash) so I figured it should be pretty straight forward approach. And yes with the conversion over to 12 volt with the 6 volt harness in place yet, its very confusing to trace wires. I figure for this to be my winter project, many winter days here in northern Minnesota.
  5. I've researched and found 3 different brands ( don't know if I can name them on here) for custom harness which in talking to their tec support said they would work for my car . Already have a 1 wire alternator with internal regulator so just need the custom harness. What I've been trying to find out on here if anyone has installed a custom harness and degree of difficulty. The harness sites make it sound easy which most companies do.
  6. Guess it doesn't matter how difficult it is has to be done, tail and signal lights worked but no brake lights traced some wires in the rats nest found disconnected wires, hooked up and had brake lights then noticed head lights came on when brakes lights did. traced some more wiring can't see where problem is so best to start with a new harness. Can't figure why the party I bought from did a crappy job on wire conversion and top notch on the rest of the car.
  7. Car has 1971 rebuilt 350 engine/ 350 turbo auto.
  8. Looking at installing new wiring harness in 1950 chevy that's been converted to 12 volt. Don't like the messy job done. Looking at 3 different brand harness. Never did any wiring to this degree, but the information and instructions on there sights say easy to do just take your time. Anyone out there done this with any suggestion on this, should a person strip the old wiring out or leave for reference, then strip out
  9. New turbo 350 transmission not that one might get a lemon. After researching I think it may be the rear axle angle to transmission out put, got a magnetic angle finder today go to do some checking tomorrow
  10. Just purchased 1950 Chevy, it has a rebuilt 350. When rebuild it had a manual transmission, every thing worked fine, owner then installed rebuilt a new 350 turbo automatic with stall converter, now it has a vibration up to about 40mph then goes away, new drive shaft was manufactured at fabricating shop, also has 1973 chevelle wagon rearend, thinks 3.5 . Any idea's were the problem maybe?
