  2. Thanks Rex Will it fit my car, my car being an FH which of cause has an FE engine number. Have you received my email about rear corner lights. Regards John
  3. I am Still looking a for a pair of rear interior lights to suit an FE President or something similar from another model.
  4. Can anybody help me with information on FH President oil pumps? My pump is different to what is shown in the parts book, it has a one piece cast iron body (casting number 159401) with a plate on the bottom with the strainer separate to the pump body, connected with a brass pipe the body. This style strainer and pipe is shown on page 35 of my parts book, but the one piece pump is not shown on page 34 with the other style pumps. Is this pump correct for an FE/FH President.
  5. As far as I know the vendor has it wrong. It is actually 1932 to 34. but many people put them on 31s
  6. If you need my details, they are in the ASC roster and in the HSRA membership list. It should not be too hard to find me. Brooklands Studebaker. Where are you located, country, state. John.
  7. To Flackmaster I am located in Sydney. Are these for Douglas's President Four Seasons Roadster and his son's President sedan? Steve Hood in Kingaroy Queensland makes rims he is currently making a set of six 20" for my 29 President Victoria. See pic of my Brooklands President, these rims are well-base type, but he also will make the split ring type, which he is currently making for my Victoria. vintagerimsaus@gmail.com If you need hubcaps for the 29 President, Dave Pattern in NZ will make these. He has just made a set for me. Dave Patten <dave.patten28@gmail.com> John
  8. Touts is busy at the moment, with some house/garage building. He has been active searching for parts, which he has had some success. Much work is continuing on the car. Frank also post on The Antique Studebaker Forum. John
  9. I am currently having a set of 6 wheels made for my 29 Victoria President in Queensland Australia., I supplied my original wheel centers, President spokes are not welded. Unfortunately shipping to the US, would be expensive. I am also having 11 hubcaps made for my two 29 FH Presidents in New Zealand. I can supply details if necessary. John
  10. NZCARNERD Hi The answer for people with big feet driving vintage Studebakers is to turn the pedal pads around 90 degrees. I also remove the side trim and upholster the outside metal skin. I then use an EA Falcon accelerator pedal, with the cable and mount it on the right side of the brake pedal. this also eliminates the hole where the accelerator rod comes through the floor cable, stopping engine heat coming into the car. John
  11. Does anyone know what that silver object on the bottom of the radiator is and what it does.
  12. Thanks Robert I was able to remove the pin with my wife holding a piece of timber on the opposite side and tapping the pin out with a punch. It was not easy. As I will be driving the car 3 or 4 thousand miles a year in modern traffic, I will be replacing the wipers with an electric wiper motor and tandem wiper arms. I have done this successfully on two other Studebakers. John
  13. studeq Hi Richard Do you have photos of the three optional ornaments for the 29/30 Studebakers, I believe one was a devil. John
  14. Hi Herman You should be able to have the glass cut to size, in either toughened or laminated, stamped with the appropriate standard for your country.
  15. Thanks Buffalowed Bill I have established, as I originally thought that the frames were painted black. I am aware of what Studebaker would do to make a sale, cars sent to the dealer in primer etc. I am temped to chrome my frame. "As I am almost having to mortgage my house" to pay for the chrome plating, what's an extra four pieces.
  16. I may not have made myself clear, I am talking a bout closed cars. I had a 29 FE State President and I have a29 State Victoria, both US Studebaker bodies. They both have painted windshield frames and don't appear to have ever been chrome plated.
  17. Am I right in thinking that the windshield frame color on a 29 president should be satin black. I see many cars have the frame painted the car body color and some have it chrome plated. Does anyone know which is correct. John.
  18. Does anyone know how tp remove the diecast boss on the front of the shaft that the wiper arm attaches to. It appears to have a pin though the boss and shaft, this is proving impossible to remove. John

  20. Hi Shaw If I hear about another one I will let you know. John
  21. Thanks Robert I received a lever today, so I am right for levers. What I am looking for are, interior rear corner lights, for a 28-30 President. I believe there are two types. If your have either of these I am interested. Regards John
  22. I know not original, but Snyder's and Macs sell top clamp screws Snyder's, 5/16" with coarse or fine thread, Macs have one for 30s fords, but don't give the size, it looks like it could be 3/8"
  23. Hi Scott Thanks for your reply. Your lever does look similar, but it unfortunately it is not the same. John
  24. Does anyone know where I can buy a 29 President interior door lock lever, see pic. The last one I purchased, years ago was from Steve Munts. Does anybody know if he has any reproduction stock left, what his current email address is?
  25. Hi Gary, maybe there is a good cam lever available in Australia, but very hard to find. One of the other problems with the steering box is the worms wear in the middle. If you adjust the wear out in the middle they bind at the ends. You can avoid this by limiting the lock, this is not good, as they already have the lock of the Queen Mary.
