Looking for a VERY nice set of outside door handles for my '55 Buick Special 2 door post car. Handles from a hardtop or convertible WILL NOT FIT. Mine are pretty shinny but are pitted. I would be willing to swap mine for a really nice pair - thanks for looking. John

Fusick only sells the reproduction handles for 2 door hardtops and convertibles. Pretty sure no one else is reproducing outside door handles for all the other model '55 Buicks.

I have a 55' Special i'm in the process of restoring (ongoing process every year - paint, chrome and stainless trim this winter) If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. JK

I'm replacing the trunk rubber on my 55' Special. I'm not sure which is the correct direction to lay it down and glue it. (Glues to trunk lid) I believe that 54', 55' and 56' Special's and Century's are the same. The problem is that the old weather stripping that was on my car was wrong. It was a universal piece that did not fit well and was a mess so I had nothing to go by. Purchased correct rubber from Steele Rubber but it didn't come with any instructions. Been waiting for them to get back to me...(so far the folks I've talked to had no idea) Here are a few pics with a 1 inch piece i cut off the rope - maybe it will help explain my dilemma. Thanks! JK

Hello everyone! Johnny from Cleveland. I've had my 55' Special for 11 years and have been a member with the NEOBCA for 3 years. Always doing something with the car, it never ends...but most of the time i'm just really enjoying it. Excited to be part of the Buick Family. (Now i need to add a post - trunk weather stripping day and i'm a bit confused as to which direction this rubber glues on!)
