Don’t know if they have the size or specific stem but tractor supply has all kinds of 90 degree center stem tubes. I’ve bought them for a variety of tractors sizes. dave s

Gaining trunk access thru back seat of 1975 buick convertible
SC38dls replied to brad0717's topic in General Discussion
Bummer. I have no idea about access but I bet the first thing you do when you get them out is make a second set! Do you have another set and just forgot about them? lol dave s -
Ok - I don’t think we (the non-moderators) should really censor anyone and as I said it was a crazy idea and I expected a whole bunch of thumbs down. All I was doing was responding to the original question. My original suggestion and one I have posted a few times in the past seems to be a better idea but I believe much harder to apply. If it was followed I am sure it would make a moderators job almost unnecessary! I do believe a guy can be a dreamer. “Forget you are a Democrate or Republicans. Just be an old car person and assume everyone else is the same way. If your post is hinting towards one of those views delete it and post something that is factually correct and about cars. Yes I have been accused of being a dreamer! “ dave s

The 62 is a great little car. The aluminum V8 is a really nice engine. My first real girl friend had one and we had a lot of fun in that car in the late 60’s. Fond memories. dave s

This may be a crazy idea but here goes. Where we can post the symbol for “Thanks”, “Ha Ha” and “Like” put a thumbs down or a symbol meaning you don’t like the post. If a post got more than say 5 thumbs down it would automatically disappear! Now that would be very interesting to see the self policing on some threads! Remember I said it was a crazy idea. dave s ps I can already feel about 20 thumbs down coming my way! pps maok you typed faster than I did! Lol

“and off. Anyone with basic skills can do this.“ says the man with talent beyond the basic skill level. Your thought is appreciated but someone with my ordinary skill level would not end up with the results you have shown us. Rejoice and be proud of the level of skill and craftsmanship you have. I certainly am enjoying it and your sharing this thread. I am a fan of your work! dave s

Period images to relieve some of the stress

Who bought breakfast - usually the chauffeur does not have to do that! dave s -
The Jaguar and the hard top look good in the pics. I would love to own either one. Hopefully we will see finished pics of both in this thread at a later date. Even if it means this thread keeps going for a year or two it is one of the more interesting threads on the forum. As good as Ed's Great White thread. Keep it going. dave s

Starting Restoration on a 1926 EP Studebaker Sport Roadster
SC38dls replied to Brian Brewer's topic in General Discussion
Not necessarily, my Studebaker is titled as a 1938 and the build sheet says it was created August 27, 1937. If you have the title go by that not when a part was produced. dave s -
Period images to relieve some of the stress
SC38dls replied to Walt G's topic in Period Photos - Pre WWII
That makes me think of the old saying”you’re just throwing good money after bad!” I’m sure we have all heard that before when we’ve hauled some old cars home but it would really apply to your idea Ed. Besides a few hundred dollars would not make a dent in today’s world. dave s -
Barn or Garage or Shack. If an automobile has been put up in a structure for storage whether it’s a day or many years it can be a whatever the finder wants to call it. It’s a technicality of finding something you may or may not have been looking for when you open the door. That being said most car guys would consider a true barn find as having been stored for many years and has a good amount of dust/dirt and future work to get running. Just my 2 cents worth absolutely nothing! dave s

Wright Patterson air base in Dayton OH has a very good airplane museum. If you like to see war birds it’s a place to get very close to a lot of planes. The best place is the annual Oshkosh air show every July. Second best is the Smithsonian out near Dulles airport. Sorry for the hijack. dave s
