  2. looking for a repairable or better pair of headlights for 1936 coupe.
  3. looks like a traditional freight scale with a carnival / midway application. "all seeing-all knowing" suggest, "guess my weight" for a price and win a prize of much lessor value if i am wrong. they would never have to be right to make a profit. i think a great midway related trade simulator with good value to those who collect such.
  4. it is listed in this forum for sale. yes it is a 3 window! thanks, jc
  5. that shift knob is indicative to those cars equipped with a vacuum assist gear shift. easier to shift for those having trouble transitioning from floor to column shift. a modern selling point for 1941!
  6. FS This 1941 Dodge D19 with manual shift has been off the road for 8 years. We have cleaned the fuel system, tank to fuel pump. A new 8v Duracell was hooked up and it started right up. Solid frame! Once it warmed up it idled smoothly for about 30 minutes. Amps were charging at 160 degrees and maintained a 60lb oil pressure. The brakes are holding after bleeding and it moved forward and back. i will adjust the clutch, Have keys and Texas title in hand. The floors are weak but serviceable and there is bondo in the quarters. The trunk is dry and under the hood is really clean complete and original. It was change to a negative ground, some time in the past. Some "sympathetic restoration", paint and tires were done before it was on the road in 2012. Looks like they stopped at the interior. There is a good horn ring and speaker grill included . The content of the trunk is pictured. Door Panels, headliner bows and jack, pictured. The car is located in Forth Worth Texas. Please see the pictures and ask what you need. We have tons of pictures with any interest. Thanks for looking at this wonderful three window! It needs some work but a good place to start. email me at ah5foot19@sbcglobal.net for additional info or pictures! Sincerely thanks for looking, jc $9500 obo
  7. FS 1941 Dodge D19 Three Window Coupe new 8v battery and it started right up on a gravity tank. blew some smoke then a smooth idled for a minute before running out of gas. pulling the tank this weekend and bleeding the brakes. this D19 Coupe was on the road 8 year ago. i have tons of pictures with any interest. fort worth texas. 817-732-3668 10-6 $9500
  8. did you sell your coupe? always looking for parts or parts car. thanks, jc
  9. the price will be contingent on what it will take to get it running and what it will need, once we do. picking up a new battery tomorrow and will bust it off on wedneday. we just got it in two weeks ago. you know the story,"it was running when i parked it." that was in '13! it's all there and very clean under the hood. the carb looks clean, anti-freeze in the block and oil is clean. two tone wheels! so i think it should start right up! "we will know this week and i will let you know. talk soon, alan

  13. Man Owned & Drove Same Car for 82 YEARS we should all be so lucky to keep driving. all of my kids said they will draw straws to see who takes my keys away! happy new year! jc "How Long Have You Owned a Car?" Mr. Allen Swift (Springfield , MA.) received this 1928 Rolls-Royce Picadilly P1 Roadster from his father, brand new - as a graduation gift in 1928. He drove it up until his death last year.....at the age of 102 !!! He was the oldest living owner of a car from new. He donated it to a Springfield museum after his death. It has 170,000 miles on it, still runs like a Swiss watch, dead silent at any speed and is in perfect cosmetic condition. (82 years) That's approximately 2000 miles per year.
