  1. Having lots of ?vapor lock? problems during hot and high altitude touring.
  2. JOEL: If you ever do remake the 36 Buick Roadmaster hood ornament I would be very interested in obtaining one. Mine has a broken leg (see attached picture) and I am afraid to try Muggy weld so will go with Epoxy. Friend of mine tried Muggy weld and got things too hot and wound up with a pool of molten metalšŸ˜£. Ed Muir gooddc10@yahoo.com
  3. THANK YOU for the reply. Found the American Arrow Corp web site and sent them a note of inquiry. We will see what happens. https://americanarrowcorp.com/ Ed.
  4. Would like to have one of these either orig or remanfactured. Ed at email gooddc10@yahoo.com
  5. TOM: I have no idea how to reply on this site but hope you get this. TOM: Thanks for the info on the 36 lower control arm. Spent all day yesterday working on it without much progress but will keep at it again today. The picture you sent looks like what I expect to see if/when I get mine out. Did you have to "press" the lower arm keeper pin out or were you able to drive it out with a punch? Again thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience. Ed Muir. PS: I tried replying to the email you sent me but it was a "no_reply" ??
  6. HI: I am just starting on my 1936 Roadmaster (80) and would like help/information on getting the the coil spring secured in preperation to getting the lower control arm pins out. Thank you Ed Muir.
  7. Thank you Mr Phillips, just kind of looking for some hands on "don't do this" and "watch out for that" along with the source information. I do appreciate your input. Thanks.
  8. Also would like to know of any sources for motor mounts, valves, valve guides and ? pistons. Have heard that it is possible to find rods with inserts rather than deal with the shims. Would appreciate any insight into that. Need to ck pistons and rods first. The radiator needed a new core and will be wanting to clean up the water jacket as much as possible before filling up the new radiator with rust. Also in the market for a new, used or recast hood ornament.
  9. I have just realized I need to remove the radiator on my 1936 Roadmaster. Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated.
  10. THANKS to all for the responses. For Mr. Syme in Australia, Thanks for the detail. Over the last couple of days have removed all the side pans and front pan for various projects and will leave them off for the time being. Now have solved the belt problem with a "Power Twist" V-Belt. As I need to move on to the windshield wiper problem (no vacuum) ?pump replacement needed? and rust in the fuel tank. Trying to get ready for a 600 mile tour on 1st week of March. You are correct about "a very difficult area to work on a 36". Thanks again for the good words... Ed.
  11. Fan belt change, Need suggestions, There is not enough room to get the belt between the frame and the crankshaft counter balance. Is this normal or was the engine installed on wrong mounts??? Also the clearance between the fan and the radiator is only about half an inch which seems too close to me. The car had a frame off restoration about 21 years ago and I just bought it so just getting into it.
  12. Need The Automatic Choke and all associated hardware used to connect to the carburetor. Stromberg EE-22 is the carburetor on this 1936 Buick Roadmaster Series 81. Ctc: Ed @ 775-223-9717
