  1. On all my cars, vintage and new I always used Meguiar's carnauba wax. I purchased a new Porsche a couple of years ago and decided to try a DIY ceramic wax/coating. I have been disappointed in the results. After about 3 months water no longer beads off and there is no depth to the shine. I went over the car with Meguiar's polish and then carnauba wax and the paint looks like it did in the showroom. This is just my personal opinion but I think I will stick with the old wax process.
  2. Nice looking car. Back in the day I had a Mitsubishi Starion ES. It was a great car, fun to drive.
  3. Cool looking truck, great color. It would be interesting to know what those cars sitting next to it are.
  4. If you search online “1977 Cadillac coupe deville sales brochure” you will find pictures of those cars with the white wall tires, it won’t give you the measurement but you can get a pretty good idea of the width of the white wall.
  5. That Jones map device is amazing. Nice photos
  6. Definitely post some new photos, those Toronado’s are good looking cars. That’s a great history you have with that car and amazing the Protecto O Plate is still around.
  7. Have you tried Imperial Heaven, https://imperialheaven.com
  8. in today’s world of “self driving” cars the drivers seat could do that too.
  9. i’m showing my wife that picture right now —- no more shirts etc...
  10. I would like to know what that vehicle is behind that green car in the original post.
  11. That’s an amazing story, I hope you will be able confirm that it is your family’s car.
  12. Several years ago they set up these speed cameras on 285 which is perimeter highway that goes around Atlanta. The problem was in Georgia a traffic ticket is issued to the driver not the vehicle. With these cameras the ticket was issued to the registered owner of the vehicle. People would go to court and say they were not driving the car, a family member might have been driving it or a friend etc... The court had to throw the ticket out. These cameras only lasted a few months after no money being made. The same thing happened when they started using red light cameras, almost all cases thrown out.
  13. Have fun with your TR project. I have a 1974 TR6, they are a lot of fun to drive. Another good source for parts is Rimmer Brothers in England, they have almost everything and the shipping cost is not bad with a Fedex economy shipping they use and the parts arrive in about a week.
  14. Have you checked with Straight Eight, https://straight-eight.com , they have parts for both these carburetors.
  15. On the Dennis the Menace tv show there was a Winton in the episode Horseless Carriage Club.
  16. Interesting site. My first car I bought when I was 16 was a MGB GT like the one on the top of that page.
  17. If no one needed it for a car it would look good hanging on a wall.
  18. How about some photos to go with that great writing.
  19. Perry Mason also drove a Cadillac convertible in some episodes, I think it was an Eldorado. There was also an electric car on Dennis the Menace. Mr Mitchell buys his wife a new Ford Falcon, and a lady gives Dennis the electric car when she wins a new car in a sweepstakes that Dennis was trying to win his mom a new car. In another episode Mr Wilson buys a new MGA. These old shows are great for car spotting. If you search some of these old shows online you can find color photos of some scenes with cars that the studio took.
  20. Those hidden headlights really add to the styling. Cadillac should have continued using them and maybe added them to the big cars Fleetwood, Sedan deVille in the 1970’s.
  21. You might be able to order that Cardone part number from Advance Auto Parts. They sell Cardone products.
